chapter four

Tauriels POV
I woke up on my back and saw the purple sky, it was still dusk and I was the first one up. I stood up and stretched my limbs, it was quite chilly so I pulled my cloak closer to me. I could hear some birds chirping in the distance and the sound of the wind rustling the leaves. "Tauriel?" I turned around to find Gwennalyth standing up. I smiled at her and she smiled back. Everyone started waking up soon after and we returned to Thranduil's Halls.
It felt good to be back in my quarters, the first thing I did when I returned was take a long bath.
I was walking to the gates when a servant came up to me. "Captain Tauriel, the king wishes to see you in his chambers," she said. Why would the king want to see me, I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion but nodded my head anyway. I was soon in front of the hardwood doors of the kings study I knocked lightly "Enter" I heard the deep voice of the king say. I pushed the doors open and king Thranduil was sitting behind his desk writing. He looked up at me. "Tauriel" he said in greeting "My lord Thranduil" I bowed my head in respect. "As you are probably wondering why I summoned you here I will get straight to the point," I nodded for him to continue "I want you and Legolas to take a party of 5 out into the forest and scout for any spiders." he said
"Ofcoarse, my lord" I replied
"Then you are excused." I bowed my head and left the study and started to head towards Legolas chambers. When I reached his chambers and knocked twice I heard a faint "Come in" and I pushed the doors open to find Legolas sharpening his daggers. He looked up and smiled when he saw me. He started walking towards me, when he reached me pulled me into an embrace. He put a finger under my chin and tilted my head up to look at him he then gave me a soft kiss. I returned the kiss eagerly but then remembered why I had come here in the first place. I pulled away reluctantly and took a step away whe he pulled me back so my back was up against his chest. "Legolas..." I groaned "Whats wrong Mella(Love)" he whispered in my ear and shivers ran down my spine. He then proceeded to start leaving a trail of kisses from jaw to my collarbone. "We.. Have.. To.. Mmmm" I softly moaned when he sucked on my pulse point. I was sure he going to leave a mark. "We have to what, Tauriel" he said huskily, I groaned, why did he have to make this so hard. "I said..we have..to lead..a party..into the forest..to scout for spiders" I said shakily " Do we now?" he questioned. It took all my strength and self control to push him off me and walk away. "Grab your bow and daggers" I said, he smirked at the state I was in. Flushed, hot and bothered. He grabbed his bow and daggers and we headed down to the armory.
When we in the armory we got five guards including Arthion, Herion and Nellathiel. We were scouting the forest and everything seemed fine up until all of a sudden a spider jumped of nowhere. Someone screamed but I let the arrow I had readied fly. It pierced the spiders hide and went right through its head. There were three other spiders but they were taken down by the others. Then I smelt something foul and by the looks of it the others had too.
That was when Arthion screamed out "ORCS!"
