chapter fourteen

Tauriel POV
I heard the door close and I knew Legolas had left. I smiled, it was nice to fall asleep in his arms. But I felt terrible about not telling him about my sickness. Just then my stomach lurched. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom and vomited. As soon as I was finished I leaned against the wall and slid down to the ground. I put my head in my hands and sighed. Then the coughing started, it was getting worse each time. It was over after about a minute or so, I rinsed my mouth out and wiped the blood off the side of my mouth. I looked at my self in the mirror and sighed. I was a mess, my hair was ruffled, my eyes were bloodshot and my face was paler than usual. I quickly got dressed and decided that I had to go to the healers quickly. As soon as I was in the healling halls, Gwennalyth, one of my best friends and now my healer, came over and greeted me. "Are you okay Tauriel?" she asked me and led me to the healing room that I was in yesterday. "I'm alright I guess, but it is getting worse, I've started coughing blood up now," I said she gave me a sad look. She gave me some medicine and sent me on my way. Apparently King Thranduil had announced that I had returned since no one seemed to suprised to see me. I was heading down to Thranduil's study to tell him about how my condition was, as he asked me to tell him when ever something changed. As I walking there I passed Legolas, he gave me a sweet smile which I returned. I knocked on the door to the kings study I heard a "Come in" so I pushed the doors open "Ah, Tauriel, what brings you here?" he asked "I have come to tell you about the changes in my sickness." I stated he nodded and gestured for me to sit. "It has gotten worse, I have started coughing up blood and throwing up everything I eat." I said with tears in my eyes. He nodded "You do not deserve this Tauriel, but I need to ask you a question regarding my son," he said. I nodded and he continued "the reason the Lothlorien family is here is because we would like to make a treaty of sourts and we are thinking to unite the two realms we should have Legolas and Araniel marry, what us your opinion on this Tauriel?" I was shocked, but answered anyway "I believe they should marry if they so choose to do so, but that is the only reason I can think of that would object to a marriage such as this." he nodded "Thankyou for your input Tauriel." he said "Well I must be off your majesty." he nodded again and I walked out the door.
