His whole body hurt. As if a weight of pressure had been sitting on his chest. Unable to move and when he did, an immense amount of pain would ensue through his entire body. His neck ached, his head throbbed, and his legs felt heavy. But the most pain he'd felt was in his ribs. He just hoped he didn't break them during the game. But the pain he'd felt with every move he made, told him otherwise.

Spencer groaned slightly adjusting himself on the bed. He didn't know what day it had been or how long he had been out for. The only thing he remembered was waking up to Nurse Joy telling him to breathe. Everything else had been a blur. He was just glad, he'd been dreaming, and Coop hadn't been hurt. That it was all just a nightmare, and when he would open his eyes, he and Olivia would be dating, and Coop was alive and well.

He knew at least one of his wishes had been true since Coop hadn't stopped talking in the last few minutes since he'd been awake. Spencer let out another groan more so annoyed to hear Coop pacing the floor, arguing with Preach on the other end of the line. A smile spread across his lips relieved to hear his best friend but at the same time, he wanted to somehow find a way to shut her up. Every loud noise or bright light bothered him, and until this very moment, he didn't realize how loud Coop really was.

Slowly opening his eyes, the harsh lights, blinded him, making it hard to visualize the room he was in. All he could make out was Coop walking from one end of the room to the next. Slowly his vision came back into focus when Spencer could now see that he'd been in a hospital room hooked up to machines. Spencer shook his head, letting out a long sigh bothered by how annoying Coop had been. He grunted with every move he made to ease the pain, but nothing ever stopped it from coming. His ribs burned just to breathe in, and any sudden movement made it worse. Wincing, he maneuvered his way to grab the extra pillow in the back of his head, trying hard to not move his torso as much as he could. Holding onto the pillow he watched Coop walk back and forth.

"I told you I wanted a five-piece chicken tender meal. Preach you hear me? No, I ain't want the number ten. Whatever man, just get my order right. No, I don't want lemonade. Preach why you gotta be so difficult? What? I don't care if the tenders taste good with the sauce, just give me some ketchup. See you outside in twenty. Yeah, whatever," Coop grunted hanging up the phone. She turned just in time to see the pillow flying in her direction. Ducking, the pillow went flying across the room. Coop turned back to spencer confused as to where he got the strength to throw the pillow, and that he'd been awake.

"Ayo Spence, what was that for? Good to see you're feeling better,". Coop walked over to pick up the pillow, placing it at the end of his bed. Spencer winced holding onto his ribcage when he smiled through the pain. Coop walked over to his bedside, clasping her hands in his and pulling him into a light hug. "You out here really trying to kill me and break another rib huh?" Coop joked. Spencer shook his head. "Try talking louder next time. Coop you know how loud you talk on the phone? Even through my sleep I could still hear you arguing about how you wanted your chicken tender order,". Coop softly laughed.

"Oh, you heard all of that?". Spencer's smile quickly faded nodding. "Every last bit of it,". He narrowed his gaze at Coop, softening his eyes, giving her a sad smile. Coop turned around, confused as to why Spencer had been looking at her. "Why are you looking at me like that? What's wrong? That's the look you give someone to tell them bad news or something,". Spencer shook his head, when he looked down to his lap, thinking back to his nightmare. Taking a sudden deep breath in, he winced, letting out a controlled exhale trying to not irritate his ribs.

"No, nothing. I was just thinking back to the dreams I just had. I was wildin for a second. I'm...just glad to see that you're okay,". Coop placed her hands in her pockets when she scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. "Aye what kind of drugs do they have you on, my boy? Like you trippin trippin. Of course, I'm good. Why wouldn't I be?". Spencer shook his head not wanting to go into details.
