"Remind me why we didn't just take a detour to Aspen, colorado as we planned?" Olivia groaned sitting by the window seat while Spencer sat in the middle. He squeezed her mid-thigh moving it slightly up and down. Soothing her, he gave Olivia a reassuring squeeze, immediately softening her expression, she pulled her mouth to the side. A smile formed on his lips when she sighed rolling her eyes half annoyed that their weekend plans were interrupted. Leaning in, he placed a kiss on her cheek easing the stress she'd already felt.
"Where's the change of heart? Two nights ago at dinner, you were so excited telling me of all the ways we were going to spend this weekend,". Olivia shook her head. "I changed my mind. That detour is looking quite nice right about now,". Spencer softly laughed under his breath. "Besides your parents are getting married this weekend, and being the maid of honor and groomsman is kind of hard when we are not there in attendance,". Olivia disagreed.
"We could've booked a layover for the night telling our parents that we got snowed in,". Spencer laughed at her words wishing it were true. "You know it's kind of too late sitting on the plane on our way to Hawaii. You could've thought of that plan sooner. Liv it's going to be fine. This weekend can still be about us, and all the activities we were going to do, besides the snow," Spencer caressed her thigh slowly inching up her leg.
A hint of a smile spread on her lips looking down to catch his hand, stopping at the crease of her leg, Olivia bit her bottom lip while the butterflies in the pit of her stomach floated heavily. Rubbing his thumb on her thigh, sent all her focus and attention to that very spot. Deepening their gaze within each other the both of them, sat in silence until Spencer was hit by Jordan's carry-on as he passed by.
"What the hell J? Watch where you going,". Jordan laughed at his friend seeing the anger built in his expression. "Sorry, bud didn't see you there. Blame Simone, she took half of my luggage for her shoes,". Simone walked just behind Jordan waving to Olivia and Spencer. "Don't be Lying Jordan half of your suitcase is filled with your hair products,". Jordan stopped before he spoke knowing it'd been true.
"I can't argue with that. Baby you know to look this good, you gotta carry all your favorites. There was no way I was leaving behind my deep conditioner, and styling hair gel behind,". Olivia deeply sighed. "Anyway, who's ready to get turnt this weekend? This girl has never been to Hawaii. I knew your parents were bougie. But like I didn't know they'd be this bougie. You know I wasn't going to be missing out on an all-expense-paid weekend trip. Better than that cabin weekend right Liv," Simone winked. Olivia rolled her eyes at her friend.
"Oh yeah by the way thanks for telling me about that. I almost about choked on my water trying to cover for you," Simone said scooting into the seat behind them. Olivia turned around. "You did a terrible job at it, by the way. Also kind of payback for the many months I had to lie about you and Jordan getting married in Vegas,". Simone thought about it, before shrugging. "Fair enough,".
Jordan sat in the middle seat beside Simone, adjusting himself, Jolting Spencer, forward as he kicked it. "Yo J I'm about to turn around and kick your ass if you don't quit!". Quickly turning back sending him a glare, Jordan knew Spencer wasn't playing around.
"My bad Spence, my legs are too long for this seat. I specifically told my parents I needed to sit at the emergency exit seat,". Spencer grunted turning to Olivia. "Is it too late to take that detour to Aspen?". Olivia rubbed his arm. "We really didn't think this through, did we?". Spencer shook his head. "No, we did not,". Jordan leaned over placing his arms on Olivia and Spencer smiling from ear to ear.
"Best part of all, now we are all spending the weekend together. So what are we thinking? Hiking to a waterfall? What's the plan?". Spencer and Olivia glared at Jordan when Simone cleared her throat. "Baby, the last thing these two want to do this weekend is spend time with us. They got plans of their own," Simone winked when Olivia shot her a glare. "Simone!". A burst of laughter came from behind Olivia when she shrugged.
