The loud thumping music was heard from down the block. Echoing throughout the quiet upper-class cookie-cutter neighborhood. A usual peaceful time of the night was interrupted by the sounds of the music playing at maximum volume. A mix of top '40s and some old classics were being played while the crowd cheered from the inside, causing chaos to abrupt. Beer bottles, cans, and e-cigarettes were scattered on the front lawn. Olivia and Spencer stood right at the front gate looking towards the two-story mansion that now looked like a frat house in the midst of rush week.

"This is definitely not what I had in mind. Quite the opposite actually. I thought we'd spend the night cuddled on the sofa watching our favorite Christmas movies while drinking hot cocoa. Not once did I think I'd have to get dressed up and come to a frat party on a Sunday night," Olivia groaned.

Spencer half-listened as he'd been too distracted. Even with the short notice, Olivia looked stunning. He couldn't help but admire every part of her, while his eyes subtly wandered lingering on her every curve. Olivia wore her curls loose, a black dress that perfectly framed her body, and Spencer's corduroy tan jacket. His eyes landed back on hers giving her a soft smile taking her hands in his, he squeezed her softly. A hint of a smile appeared on the corner of her lip, while her eyes now wandered downward. Even though she wanted to turn back around and head home, she couldn't help but think of how nicely Spencer cleaned up. Wearing black fitted slacks that matched his black button-down that had been tucked into his pants. It really felt as if they'd been back in Vegas for the night.

His chestnut eyes stared back into hers, while his thumbs softly rubbed her cheeks. "We only gotta pop in, make an appearance, and pop out. An hour tops, remember?" Spencer reassured her. "Promise?" Olivia asked. Spencer gently nodded kissing her softly to seal the deal. "I promise,". He pulled away while Olivia kept her eyes closed wanting more. Softly opening them, a slow smile spread across her lips. "You ready?" he asked. Olivia looked back towards the house giving a slight nod. "Ready as I'll ever be. Knowing JJ he probably went all out,". Spencer interlaced his hands in hers taking a breath in before exhaling. "Only one way to find out,".

Olivia's heart raced with every step they took inching closer towards the front entrance. The music had gotten louder, blaring at an obnoxious rate, as the bass vibrated their chests. Olivia wrapped her arm around Spencer holding him closer to her while biting down hard on her bottom lip. Although she'd been sober for almost two months now. Coming to parties where the temptations would be high never made it any easier.

Taking slow deep breaths in she focused on her breathing trying to remember the daily exercise she and nurse Joy would go over to help minimize the cravings. Preparing her for a moment like the one she was in currently where she would be surrounded by the temptation to take a sip. A thought that hadn't crossed her mind since becoming sober, and having nurse Joy as her sponsor. She knew this time around she'd been in a better headspace mentally and physically. She'd also felt strong enough to withhold the cravings that would rise being in a heightened environment where alcohol was easily accessible. It also helped to know that Spencer would be by her side, just in case she were to think about breaking her sobriety.

Spencer slowed to a stop, noticing the change in Olivia's expression when she met his worried eyes. Stopping at the top of the steps, he gently rubbed her arm, giving her his undivided attention. "You good?". Spencer softly whispered beside her ear. Taking her out of her thoughts the blaring music muffled their conversation. Olivia softened her gaze nodding giving him a reassuring smile. "I'm good Spence,". He searched her eyes half convinced. "Because if this is too much...". Olivia cut him mid-sentence. "It's not, I promise. But I should be asking you that same question. I'm not the one that just got out of the hospital a few hours ago,".

Changing the conversation Spencer waved her off. "Liv I'm good. Aint a broken rib going to stop me from dancing with my girl and having a good time tonight,". Olivia laughed. "Oh, so you think you can keep up, broken rib and all?". Spencer scrunched his eyebrows looking at her like she said something that hadn't been true. "Liv if you gotta ask, then you definitely don't know me. I'm about to be pop-locking, and dropping it on that dance floor,". Spencer pumped his chest when Olivia burst into laughter.
