13. Attraction

When I went to my office, I received a message from Ryan to meet him in his office. So I went straight to his office. When I went inside he was busy on a call, I stood there for a second or two when he motions me to to sit. I sat in front of him on the chair and waited for him to end.

I started looking around the office while he was busy. My eyes stopped at him and I stared at him. His hairs neatly gelled back, his eyes concentrated on his laptop, his brows lightly furrowed, his lips moving. He is beautiful, there is something about him that attracts me towards him. I have never been attracted to a guy before and this thing scares me.

What is happening to me? I didn't know I was that focused in my thoughts when I see him smirk and calls my name. I didn't realise I was gawking at him all this time. Way to embarrass yourself Calista.

"Yes" I said looking down on my lap.

"There is meeting with our clients in an hour. You will be there with me in the meeting to take notes. And here make few copies of this file and put them on the table in conference room." He said handing me a file.

"Okay" I said and went out like a speed of light.

When I reached my office, I groaned loudly. What would he think now? He will probably think I have a stupid crush on him. Ughhh

I put all the copies on the table in front of each chair in the conference room. I made sure there is water on the table too. Then I went to take my notepad to take notes. When I came back there were few people sitting on the chairs some of them were from our office and some others. They must be those clients. There is a beautiful lady in a suit, she definitely looks classy. Her hair in sleek bun. There are two men with her. She sat on the chair on the right side of head chair, so I went and sat on the left side. After a minute or so Ryan came in the room. Everyone stood up in respect but stay rooted at their places whereas the lady in suit move towards Ryan and hugged him.

"Hey Ryan! How are you?" She said.

The way she hugged him, I didn't liked it a bit. I want to snatch her away from him. How dare she touched him like this. But why the hell am I getting angry over that. I have no rights to feel like this towards them.

He didn't return back the hug and just moved away a little. I can tell she is disappointed by the frown on her face but she recovered it with a smile.

I smirked. Serves you right Miss chewing gum

"I though Mr Richard would be here" he said.

" He was a little busy so he sent me here instead. You don't want me here?" she told him.

"Fine shall we start." He said and sit on the head chair ignoring her statement.

After two long painful hours meeting came to an end. My hands are aching from writing endlessly. They speak alot . And at last Ryan gets the deal. He would have gotten it even without giving a presentation, he just had to speak sweetly to that 'chewing gum' and she would sign the deal.

"It would be good working with you Ryan" Sarah said standing in front of Ryan. Yes her name is Sarah but for me it would be chewing gum

Ryan on the other hand just nods at her, I think he don't like her. He wasn't happy by the fact that her father sends her instead of coming himself. She extend her hand towards him for a hand shake to which he complied.

"See you soon" she said suggestively winking at him.

I don't like this girl. Period. I am taking my words back, she is not beautiful and she is not classy either. Then she went out with two men trailing behind her. One by one other employees also left the room leaving me and Ryan alone. I was still sitting on my chair.
