Chapter 13

Six months has passed...

I never left her side, not after that call her mother made in the middle of the night.

"...something happened to Lalisa." my heart dropped upon hearing those words, "Mom, what is it? I'll go there." I didn't gave her a chance to respond as I dropped the call and immediately stood up still careful to not wake up the sleeping pets, Hank got woken up though following my steps.

I didn't bother on putting some nice clothes and waking up the unnies, I'm still in my pajamas when I went out and ran. I ran as fast as I could for the last 6 months and my feet starts to hurt, bringing back the pain that I had in the first few months after the accident.

"Woah, Park Chaeyoung? Sweetie, breathe." Nurse Sandara held me in the shoulders when she saw me barging at the hospital doors catching my breath.

"No, no, no. Lisa..." I called out still having hard time to breathe, "Lisa's stable now, hon. You can calm down." I sighed in relief at what she said but I still wanted to know what happened.

When I finally calmed down, she looked at my state and saw that I was just wearing pajamas. She led me to the waiting room sat me in one of the chairs and told me to wait, when she went back, she was now holding a large blanket. Only now realizing how cold it is. I must've not felt it when I was running.

"You must be here because of Lisa?" I nodded keeping my head low, sniffing quietly. "What happened?" I asked.

"She had a seizure. A big one. But she's okay for now." she added the last bit to make me feel okay, but I'm not. "What was the reason?" I quietly asked.

"Probably because of her traumatic brain injury." I thanked the nurse and got up, going to the same path I was taking everyday. I reached her room and saw Lisa's mom.

I went to her and hugged her giving comfort, but it turned the other way around, it seems like I was the one that needed comforting once she felt the tears drenched her coat.

She started saying comforting words, I laughed when she starts saying "It's going to be okay, Chaeyoung." for like three times. "Mom, I should be saying those things to you." I laughed tears still evident on my eyes.

"You and Lalisa are inseparable since you guys are kids, I can't imagine the pain you're having right now, not having your soulmate by your side." she pursed her lips as she hugged me tight as if she's hugging her own daughter.

"Do you want to go inside?" she asked as she offers me her hand and led me inside Lisa's room. I went to her side, picked up her hand and kissed it. "Don't leave me Lisa, you hear me?" I said even though she probably won't hear it. "You really love her, do you?" Lisa's mom smiled softly, her eyes are full of adoration as she looked at the both of us.

"I do, mom." I bowed my head to hide the blush that is creeping on my cheeks. "She does too." my eyes went wide as the sudden confession, she must be talking about friendly love?

She shook her head when she saw my flustered state, she went to my side and hugged me, kissing the top of my head.

"Do you want to go home and get some rest? I can drop you by, I needed to get some stuff from the house anyways." I shook my head at the offer telling her I want to stay with Lisa, even though I had school tomorrow. I'll just skip school, it's just one day.

I leaned my head closer to the bed as I watch the sleeping Lisa, kissing her hand from time to time. Few more minutes has passed as I drift off to sleep.
