Chapter 18

Jay and Jungwon held hands as they walk inside Jay's house. The younger seemed to be very nervous, his heart beats fast. Jay tightened his hand to make Jungwon feel at ease.

"Whatever happens, I will always love you and you're the only person that matters to me right now." Jay then pulled Jungwon's hand near his face and kissed it gently while staring at Jungwon's eyes.

Jungwon just nodded and eventually, they entered Jay's Father's office. The room was huge for a person which is why Jungwon was shocked. Jay's Father turned his chair around to face the couple.

"What took you so long?" Mr. James Park said in a cold approach. His voice scared the two lovers especially Jungwon. He's scared of what might happen. He is scared of disapproval from Jay's dad.

"Jungwon was in pain earlier because of his headache so I made him eat first before anything else. Get straight directly to your point, Dad. What do you want? Why did you call us here?" Jay replied and asked to his dad. Jungwon became more nervous because of Jay's tone of voice.

"They are really father and son. Their voices are scary when they are like this." He said to himself. He also slightly pinched Jay's elbow and gave him a concerned look.

"Well, first off, I would like to ask Jungwon how is my son doing with his lessons?" Mr. James looked at Jungwon with a poker face.

"Jay is r-really doing well these days, Sir. His s-scores were high and he f-focuses more on his studies." Jungwon stuttered repeatedly as he felt really nervous while giving his boyfriend's dad an answer.

"Maybe he's in love..." Mr. James replied. "I guess that's a good news then." He then turned his face towards his son whose eyebrows are furrowed.

"So son, how's Jungwon as a tutor?" Jay was asked by his father.

"He's really good at teaching despite being a freshman. He's smart. He's kind. He's adorable." Jay answered.

"I see. So how is he as a boyfriend and when are you planning to tell me?" Mr. James said which caused the couple's eyes to get bigger. They expected this but the feeling is really different once it happened.

The two were left in shock and were unable to answer.

"You think I don't know what's between the two of you? Jay, leave us right now. Get outside." Jay's dad told him. Jay immediately followed what his dad said—afraid that he'll get mad.

Jay headed outside leaving his boyfriend shaking while facing his father. Jungwon's legs are becoming weak as the tension rises inside the room. It was only broken once Jay's father spoke.

"You saw his face? He's that nervous and scared?" Jay's father laughed out loud. "Jay is really a stubborn kid but I thank you for making him a better person, Jungwon." Jay's father said and gave Jungwon a smile.

At that moment, Jungwon was finally able to breathe normally. He felt relief when he heard Jay's dad laugh.

"Come here and give your future father-in-law a hug, Son! Don't call me Sir from now on." Mr. James stood up from his chair and walked towards Jungwon.

"Thank you so much for accepting our relationship, Sir." Jungwon bowed.

"Call me, dad. You're my son's lover so might as well treat me as your father. There's nothing wrong with your relationship, Jungwon. I'm proud of my son he found someone whom who can change him and turn him into a better version of himself. I hundred-percent approve your love for each other. Do not worry." Jay's dad patted Jungwon's shoulder as he talked.

"May I ask? How d-did you know?" Jungwon asked.

"I have a lot of sources in your university. Besides, Jay's ex-girlfriend kept on telling me about you. Don't mind that young girl. You're the best one for my son." Mr. James answered and went to the door to open it and he saw his son trying to listen to their conversation.

"Come inside, Jay."

Jay did what he was told and went beside his boyfriend. "What did he tell you?" Jay's voice almost cracked since he's worrying. Jungwon just laughed at the older. Jay's face is funny for him right now. On the other hand, Jay was confused. "How can he smile like that?" He asked in his mind.

"I just told him that I am happy he's your boyfriend." Jay's dad interrupted the couple.

"WHAT?!?!?!!?!" Jay exclaimed and was in deep shock after hearing what his dad said. "You know it already?! And you approve?!" Jay jumped like the happiest kid in the world and hugged Jungwon from the back.

"Just know your limits, son. Be honest to each other and don't let your relationship be ruined easily. I am happy for the two of you."

And for the very first time after how many years, Jay and his father hugged. The two of them can't remember when they last hugged each other and now, every thing's finally falling into pieces.

— later that day at Jay's bedroom —

"Close your eyes" Jay commanded his boyfriend. Jungwon did what Jay said.

Jay wrapped something around Jungwon's neck. "Now open." Jungwon was speechless at what he saw.

"How did you? How? I threw this away!" Jungwon saw the necklace Jay gave him which he threw away before hanging on his neck again.

"I picked that up as soon as you left. You made me cry so hard, you know?" Jay pouted to his boyfriend. His sharp features suddenly became soft as he acted cute with Jungwon. "But I understand that you did that because you're scared. You're scared of Arin, right?" Jay said.

Jungwon looked at Jay in the eyes. His eyes were about shed some tears but Jay immediately caressed his hair.

"Don't worry. She can't hurt you. Not anymore. Not on my watch." Jay then hugged Jungwon but the younger refused.

"I love you, Jay. So much." The younger then pulled Jay's necktie for a kiss. Jay placed his hands on Jungwon's waist and wrapped them around. Their kiss was full of love and affection. Jay's kisses started getting deeper but as soon as he realized what he's doing he stopped and apologized by sitting on his bed and pulled Jungwon who's standing in front of him to give him a hug.

"Don't worry too much." Jungwon played with Jay's hair and kissed him in the forehead—a sign he shouldn't worry about a thing.
