The Curse

[Chapter 13 - Luz]

It was all a mess, "deweebus grab me the first aid kit from the upstairs closet. Glasses you help Minty with her wounds." Eda demand. They all gave an annoyed look since Eda didn't bother to remember their names yet they were all did what they were told. Eda sat there looking at Luz thinking of what to do. "There's no way to reach her." Amity gave a sorrowful look at Eda then Luz. "There is one way; we enter her mind. Two people to enter her mind and help her within herself. To solve the problem you've got to attack the main source. Now I can't  since I need to bring out who ever is in there." Eda looked at the three kids, they all gave a look of worry and fear. King jumped up, "I'll rescue Luz! I, the king of demons demands you put me in there!" Eda nodded her head, "who else?" Eda asked. It was silent. Amity sighed, standing up she picked up King ready to go. "Are you sure? You're injured Minty." Eda questioned Amity's choice. She nodded, "well okay then, when you wantto leave just ring the bell." Giving it to King they got in position. Eda grabbed a scroll from her hair, chanting the words written on it. A dark purple circle surrounded King and Amity, a few seconds later they disappeared.

Luz kept running, it didn't matter if it seemed like she wasn't getting anywhere. She just needed to get away from the beast. Everything was a dark grey which seemed to go on forever. Stopping to catch her breath she heard a roar behind her. Without hesitation Luz started running again. This time she ran into a familiar scene, the night she was captured. Seeing herself transform and Amity run away made her heart ache. By this point Luz stopped running, she was clutching her shirt where her heart was. "That's not what happened that night you know. My mothers abomaton took me." Luz jumped hearing this. King jumped to Luz landing on shoulder, "Luz! I missed you!" "King?! Amity?! What are you doing here?" She was confused and amused at the same time. "The owl lady put us in here." Amity replied. "That makes a lot of sense actually." She grabbed Amity's arm pulling her into an unexpected hug, "Luz!" Her wounds were still tender causing her to winch from the pain. Luz let go after hearing this, she went behind Amity to see that her clothes were ripped from her claw marks. Luz had guilt overwhelm her, "lo seinto Amity." Neither King nor Amity understood what she was saying. The silence was interrupted by a roar in the distance. "Weh?!" King scrambled to Luz's legs, "a huge monster is coming towards us!" He held on tight. Grabbing King and Amity's hand Luz started running.

"What is that?!" King asked scared to be put down. "It's what I've been running from any time I lose control." Luz didn't look back. "Luz how are you expected to take control of the situation if you keep running away?" Amity let go of her hand stopping in her tracks. Luz knew she was right. It was easy for the wolf to catch up, it looked exactly like Luz when she was in wolf form. The wolf ran up to the green haired witch, "Amity!" Luz made a sprint for her to push her out of the way. Instead of being torn to pieces she was met with a tongue licking her face. "Stop!" She yelled. The wolf did what it was told. Luz chuckled nervously, her love for the green haired witch rubbed off on the wolf. "I guess it chose you naturally..." she looked away blushing. Approaching slowly the wolf started growling yet was stopped by Amity who pet it to calm it down. Luz and King were able to sit next to Amity without any problems. "You're just as scared as I am." Luz pet the wolf trying to make it more at ease. It seemed to work, the wolf became less tense. "There's still so much more to learn about you." King and Amity got up to leave the two alone.

"If we both want to be content we can't keep fighting. We gotta work together." The wolf seemed to be satisfied with that saying. It got up very quickly and calmly heading into a memory that contained the forest. "I guess it feels the most comfortable there." Luz thought. Turning to King and Amity they all gave a smile to each other. "See ya Luz!" King grabbed the bell ringing it. Luz was shocked, they disappeared in an instant.

"So how'd it go?" Eda questioned if they were successful or not. It made Gus, Willow and Eda curious to why Luz dropped to the floor earlier. They didn't answer, looking over at Luz they saw she looked very different from before. She looked more like a wolf, her bigger wolf form seemed to be her final form. She was much smaller and less intimidating but still gave off a strong presence. Amity broke the barrier setting Luz free. Luz was out cold not moving an inch.

"Okay now everybody out." Eda was tired and wanted sleep, it seemed like everyone needed it too. Gus and Willow let themselves out through the back door heading home not arguing. "Miss Eda? Would it be okay if I stayed here for awhile?" Amity was scared of the answer, she couldn't go home. Especially after disobeying her mother countless times back to back. Eda was hesitant but told her she could once she looked over at Luz. Eda grabbed King heading upstairs. Amity was about to do the same yet heard a familiar voice at the door. "Mittens we know you're in there. Open the door, this place is creeping me out." Edric could be heard outside.

Opening it she gave her usual annoyed face. They pulled her into a hug but noticed her shirt. "What happened?!" Edric yelled so loud it caused the birds in the trees to be disrupted. "Oh this? I- it's um nothing..." Emira quickly pulled her out of the owl house pointing behind Amity. "What is that?!" She yelled quietly to not disturb anyone like Edric did. Amity pulled away, "it's Luz..." The twins were shocked, "that's the human?!" Edric yelled again. "Stop yelling!" Amity snapped back. "You two are insufferable." "Come on, we'll get you out of here." Edric said grabbing Amity. She didn't budge, "I'm not going. It's not like mother cares." "Why do you think we're here in the first place?" Emire replied. "No she doesn't. She doesn't love me." Her voice was stern. The twins knew she was right but didn't want to admit it. "Wanna know who does though? Luz. Well hopefully..." the twins became unsure, "but you seemed drained from all of this." Emira said. "I am, but I love Luz and I don't want to give up on her." Amity looked back, she was still in the same position.

Em and Ed were still unsure how to feel about the whole situation, "are you sure you'll be okay with, this?" Em asked concerned for their little sister. She nodded yes while yawning, "now if you'll excuse us, we need sleep for school tomorrow." Amity started pushing the two of them out closing the door after. Walking over to Luz she laid next to her. Petting Luz seemed to make all her troubles go away. They brought comfort to each other in many ways. She curled up next to Luz, her fur was extremely soft and warm. Almost instantly she fell asleep unaware Luz heard everything she said.

Amity awoke to a lighter feeling on her chest. Luz was back to normal, well as normal as she could get. Blushing she looked away to check her phone. It was barely 6am. Sighing she looked down to see Luz holding onto her. She smiled giving her a kiss on her head. Falling back asleep once more she was still tired from the night before.

A few more hours passed before the witch woke up again. This time she was on the couch covered up with a blanket. Confused she looked around. A delicious smell entered her nose, getting up she walked over to the kitchen to see who was making food. Luz was up running around cooking, she was covered in flour. Luz heard her enter the kitchen, "morning Amity!" She gave a smile to her. "Here I made these for you!" Placing three pancakes on a plate covered in syrup she placed it down for Amity. She walked over sitting down, "morning Luz. Thank you but you didn't have to." She picked up the fork hesitant to eat the strange food sitting in front of her. "I wanted to show how much I love you..." luz whispered the last three words. "What?" Amity asked, "nothing!" Luz went back to cooking blushing from what she said. The awkwardness was soon broken when Eda and King entered asking what smelled so good. Luz served them up pancakes too. Once the three of them took a bite they were all asking for more. Eda was tired from eating too much pancakes so she headed up stairs once again. King stayed where he was not being able to move. His head flopped on to the table causing Amity and Luz to laugh. They briefly made eye contact causing them to blush.

"How about all four of us hang out?" Amity suggests stuffing her mouth with pancakes. Luz dropped at pancake on the floor, from the looks of it this made her nervous.
