Amity didn't feel nearly as warm as before, looking to her right she saw Luz in her half form. Looking down she saw that she had her arms around her waist which she didn't feel it at first. Luz's head was on her shoulder too which made it hard for her to move. Blushing she tried to get up to grab a glass of water but it only resulted in Luz tightening her grip. Laying there she stared at the ceiling while playing with Luz's hair with her left arm which was thankfully free. She could see Luz's tail hitting the floor boards causing a light thumping sound. Smiling she continued until she saw her ears. It was a perfect opportunity to play with Luz's ears. Gently touching them one of her ears twitched causing her heart to melt. She became startled when Luz started lifting herself up with just her arm, "huh? What's going on?" She yawned revealing her fangs. Once she looked down she quickly got up, "oh geez sorry Amity! I didn't mean to smother you." Amity looked away blushing, "it's okay Luz, I enjoy cuddling... with you..." Amity's heart was racing by this point. Luz smirked, "you enjoy what?" She heard Amity the first time clearly but wanted to tease her. Amity was as red as a tomato trying to hide her face in the pillow, "I know you heard me." Luz laughed at the sight of this causing the green haired witch to become embarrassed and angry. Getting up she grabbed the pillow and started hitting Luz with it. This didn't stop Luz from laughing, it only caused her to laugh even more. She started avoiding it easily which caused it to turn into a game of cat and mouse. "Mail! Hoot Hoot!" The two girls screamed from the unexpected barge in from Hooty. He came in through the window. Throwing up all the letters hooty said his good mornings then left to go back to guarding the house.

Luz walked over to the small pile of letters looking through them. "Oh here Amity! This one is for you." Still looking down at the pile Luz held her arm up in the air waiting for her to grab it. "Oh this one is for me, it's from Eda." Luz placed the rest of the letters in a neatly stacked pile. They both opened their letters at the same time, Eda had wrote that she'd be returning tonight. Once Luz finished reading the letter she looked over at Amity. "Who's it from?" Amity didn't answer, each line she read her face turned redder. Crumpling it up she looked away, "it's from my stupid siblings." Luz was confused by her reaction, unsure of how she felt. Amity sighed walking out to do whatever she needed. Luz followed wanting to make sure she felt alright.

Now that it was the weekend Luz and Amity didn't have to worry about much. The only worry Luz had was that Amity was more quiet than usual.
She tried to ask multiple times if she was okay but instead of answering Amity would change the subject. They spent most of the day playing board games, watching the crystal ball, talking with Gus as well as Willow or playing with King and giving him belly rubs. Once Eda came home everyone rushed to welcome her home except Amity who simply said hello then smiled and waved.

It had been awhile since they were all gathered in a peaceful situation, wanting to take advantage of it they decided to have a small celebration. Eda told everyone to get ready to go into town. Deciding to have a big family dinner they started gathering ingredients. It was mainly left to Luz and Amity to get the supplies since Esa and King were distracted by pickpocketing people. Luz became more concerned any time she tried to show affection of any kind to Amity. She always tried to get out of it by either saying they needed something. Luz knew she couldn't force it out of her either. Finishing up they took the more scenic route stopping at a nearby lake. Taking a few minutes to star gaze brightened up their night. Amity looked over at Luz who was fascinated by the stars. A small wave of guilt came over her causing her to look away. By this point the sun had set which meant they needed to hurry home. Eda immediately started on dinner with the help of the three of them, mainly Amity since King and Luz were goofing off. After eating Amity offered to clean up but Eda had told her she'd do it instead along with King. Luz yawned telling everyone she was going go get cleaned up and head to bed after. Amity would have done the same but just moved to the living room. Thinking back on the day Amity started feeling bad for being distant towards Luz. She wanted to apologize but couldn't bring herself to do so. Lost in her thoughts she started going over every possible outcome. The green haired witch sat on the couch for at least thirty minutes thinking of how to deal with the situation. Building up enough courage she made her way upstairs.

Opening the door she peeked her head in to see Luz asleep. She walked over sitting next to her, Amity placed her hand on to Luz's head petting her. "Sorry about today Luz, I couldn't tell you or else you would have laughed too. The twins teased me for having a crush on you..." Amity sighed getting up ready to get out of the room. She looked back once she felt Luz grab her arm, "I wouldn't laugh, I have a crush on you too." Luz's eyes weren't even open but she knew Amity would be blushing. The poor green haired witch had thought she was asleep while confessing. Gesturing to lay down next her Amity did. Luz kissed her forehead causing Amity to freeze in place. After Luz once again placed her arm around Amity pulling her closer. Amity's face was laying on Luz's chest. The green haired witch finally came out of shock, she finally gave in and positioned herself in a more comfortable position.

Amity awoke in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Slowly getting up not to wake Luz up she opened the door quietly. After doing her business she headed downstairs to grab a glass of water, it started becoming a habit. She could hear Eda and King talking but couldn't make out what they were exactly talking about. Once she entered the kitchen the two stopped talking. Awkwardly smiling and giving a wave she grabbed a glass and started filling it up. Leaving as fast as she could she was stopped once she tried to leave. "Kid come here for a second, we need to talk." Amity dreaded hearing those words, she froze in place not responding to anything. "Kid you alright?" Eda walked over placing her hand on her shoulder. Amity snapped out of it looking up at the owl lady. "Here take a seat." Amity did what she was told. Eda went back to her spot while King laid in Amity's lap to comfort her.

"Listen Luz told me what's been going on with your situation at home. She was able to catch on very quickly after doing some digging. Once she found out she told me. Now I don't want to pry but do you want to go home?" Amity had a sinking feeling in her stomach, flashbacks of her mother abusing her came back. She was once snapped out of it when King gently booped her nose. She looked away, "I- um not really... no..." she looked back at the owl lady waiting for a response. "Well the three of us, mainly King and I were thinking that you could live here with us if you'd like." Eda scratched the back of her neck not being used to a parental figure. No words came out of Amity's mouth. Eda quickly added on to her offer, "of course you can have visitors of your choosing and all. So what do you say kid?" Amity looked at the owl lady with tears in her eyes, hugging King tightly she nodded yes. "Weh?!" King started squirming around to escape the witches hold. Eda got up from her chair walking over to the two of them, "come on, let's get some rest. We'll talk about the rest tomorrow." Amity wiped her tears releasing King. He hopped down climbing onto Eda. Once Amity grabbed her glass of water Eda turned off the light heading upstairs.

"Dear Titan she's getting on my nerves. That little brat keeps getting away." Odalia paced back and forth thinking of a plan. Alador simply sat there tired of his wife's antics. "Maybe we should let her be Odalia. She seems happier with her friends." The look she gave made him wish he'd stayed silent. She went back to rambling, "those incompetent fools can't even do their job right." "We aren't even doing our job right as her parents." He protested. This made her furious, walking over to Alador she looked at him right in the eyes. "How dare you say that?! We're doing what's best for our daughter." This had no effect on Alador this time, "it'd he ashamed if Blight industries stopped making abominations." Odalia hesitated, Alador knew how much she cherished the family name and business. She didn't say a word, storming off she whispered under her breath, "I'll do it myself." Alador watched as she stormed off slamming the door. He felt guilty not knowing what to do in the situation. Getting out a piece of paper and pen he started writing a letter to Amity. He wrote any information that could he of use to her, especially the fact that her mother was planning something. One of the last things he wrote was he wanted to meet up with her. Sealing the letter he put it in the mailbox to be delivered.
