The ride to Hank's was quick.  The car stopped right in front of the driveway leading to the house.  Angie didn't get out of the vehicle right away, she was thinking about the best way to present the situation to her teammate.

She was very happy that Connor had accepted this meeting so easily, she had high expectations from this reunion with his former partner.

- You ready ?

The android nodded decidedly.

- Let's go.

She opened the door and waited on the driveway for Connor to join her.

- It would be better if you stay back first.  Seeing you unprepared may shock him.  We're going to prevent him from going into heart attack.  Get over here.

She pointed to the left side of the front door, so Hank wouldn't see him right away when he came to open it.  He complied and she rang the doorbell.

- Yeah, coming.

Angie gave a reassuring look to Connor, who had a frowning forehead, a sign that the situation was worrying him.  She would have liked to shake his hand to encourage him if he had let her.

They heard some noise inside, a dog barked and finally the lock turned and the door opened halfway on the lieutenant, in a T-shirt and underpants, his hair messy as usual and a can of beer in the hand.

- Oh it's you!  Wait, what are you doing here at this hour?  Don't tell me you're coming to get me for a murder ... it's my day off.

- No, no murder tonight, Hank, well not that I know of.  No, I wanted ... I have someone to ... I ...

Now that she was in front of him, she wasn't sure how to present this to him.  "Surprise, Connor is back!" Would perhaps be a little blunt.  She sighed.

- Everything's fine ?

- Yes, yes, it's okay.  Then she whispered to Connor: Wait for me there.

- Did you bring someone?  Hank asked, tilting his head and opening the door a little more, but Angie stopped him from going out by gently pushing him inside.

- You should sit down, Hank, you might be surprised.

- What ? But...

- Trust me, sit down.

He gave her a suspicious look but went to sit on the couch anyway.  Angie took a seat next to him, the television in front of them showing a basketball match.

- Do you remember someone following me?

- Your imaginary friend?  Yeah.

- It was not my imagination, this person is real.  In fact, you know him, he's a friend ... A mutual friend that we haven't seen for a long time.

- I understand nothing, what are you talking about?  We never had mutual friends.  Well, it depends on what you call a friend ...

Angie stood up, motioning for him not to move and returned to the door that was left ajar.  Connor was still waiting, she could read the anxiety in his brown eyes.

- Come on, she said softly, giving him an encouraging sign.

So he walked over and went inside to face Lieutenant Anderson.

- Holy shit!  The latter swore.  What the fuckin' fuck?

Angie didn't answer him right away, her attention was fixed on Connor and his reactions.  Or rather his lack of reaction, his gaze was fixed on his former partner.  Did memories flow into his memory or on the contrary did it leave him unmoved?
