I got home and started packing a bag to take to Mike's. I put a bunch of band shirts and skinny jeans in a bag and threw it over my shoulder. I was walking out of my room when I noticed something lying on the ground. It was a necklace that Matt had given me when I was born. I smiled and slipped it into my pocket.
I heard a knock on the door and I ran up the stairs. I put on my converse and opened the door.
"Ready to go kiddo?" Mike said, looking up from his phone.
"Yup." I flicked the light switch off and locked the door behind me.
"Acadia!" Tristan screamed when I got in the car.
He looked at me with that excited little kid look and threw his arms at me for a hug. I gave him a quick hug and did my seat belt up.
"How you doing Cadi?" Megan asked, turning around from the back seat. I knew she meant about Dad.
"I'm okay. At least it's only a week." I said, with a small smile.
"Can I play on your phone?" Tristan asked me.
"Here you go buddy, just be careful." I said, passing him my phone.
"I can't believe your mom would do something like this. It's not like her." Megan sighed.
"What do you mean?" I think it seemed quite like her from what I knew.
"Well I knew her before Josh and her got together. She was shy around most people but when she was with people she knew, she was such a nice person. Olivia would never have hurt anyone." She frowned.
"I wonder what happened to her." I whispered.
"Your phone is buzzing." Tristan said, handing it to me.
"Thanks buddy." I said, answering the phone.
Megan watched as I sat there listening to the person on the other end.
Once he had finished talking, I thanked him and hung up the phone. I immediately felt like I was going to be sick.
"What's wrong?" Megan asked, worried.
I couldn't get any words out. I just sat there, staring at her.
