My name is Acadia Ramsay, I'm 16, I live in Vancouver, my dad is Josh Ramsay, you may know him from his band Marianas Trench, and I have no idea who my mother is. She left me and my dad right after I was born and my dad never wants to talk about her.

"Acadia, breakfast is ready." My dad called from upstairs.
I rolled out of bed and slowly made my way up the stairs to the kitchen. I grabbed a plate off the counter and filled it with some bacon and pancakes that was freshly made. I poured myself some orange juice and sat down at the table across from my dad.
"Morning Daddy." I said cheerfully.
"Morning Cadi." He replied, using the nickname he had given me when I was a little girl. "What do you want to do today?"
"I don't know. I don't really care, I thought you'd be out with the band all day again today." I said, trying not to be rude.
"Well I have to go talk to the boys about the new album for about an hour, but after that, I'm all yours." Dad said, checking his phone.
"When are you leaving?" I asked, as he glanced out the window.
"Matt's here. He's picking me up. See you later." He said, getting up and putting his shoes on.
"Bye Daddy." I said, hugging him and watching him leave.
I ran downstairs to my room, turned on my music and got dressed. I was listening to Down With Webster and Hedley, I love their music. One in a million came on by DWW and I guess I ended up falling asleep because the next thing I knew, I heard Dad and Matt laughing upstairs.
I got up, brushed my hair and went upstairs. Dad and Matt were talking in the living room.
"Hey sleepy head." Dad said, with a chuckle.
"Hi Matt." I said, ignoring my dad.
"Hi Acadia, how are you?" Matt asked. He's kinda like a second father to me.
"I'm terrific! How are you Matt?"
"Just peachy!"
That's kinda what me and Matt do. Over express our emotions. I don't know it's just what we do.
"You guys are such dorks." Dad said, with a chuckle.
"I get it from you Daddy." I said in a baby voice, climbing up beside him on the couch and hugging him.
"I know Cadi." He said, kissing me on the forehead.
"Ewwie! Boy cooties!" I screamed, wiping off my forehead.
"Too late you're infected!" Dad yelled, as him and Matt started kissing my head as if they were trying to kill me.
"You're so weird. Both of you." I said, backing away.
"Why are you here anyway Matt?"
"Cuz I was hanging out with your dad. Don't you love me Cadi?" He said in a little kid pleading voice.
"Yes Matty I love you like family." I said, giving him a big hug.
"I love you too Cadi!" Matt yelled.
"Shhh, not so loud." I said.
"I want the whole world to know." Matt said.
"But my dad can't find out."
"But I want everyone to know!" Matt yelled.
"Shut up. You guys are lame." Dad said, throwing a pillow at us.
