A nurse came into the room that I was waiting in and did some blood tests.
"You can go home now and we'll call you with the results in a couple of days."
I walked back to the waiting room to find Megan.
"How'd it go?" Megan asked, standing up.
"They said they'll call me in a couple of days." I sighed.
Megan hugged me and we started walking back to the car.

When we got back to Mike's house, lunch was ready.
"Where were you guys?" Mike asked.
"We went shopping." Megan said, quickly.
"Oh. You didn't buy anything?" Mike asked.
"Window shopping." Megan said.
"Okay well Tristan and I made lunch for you guys. You guys can sit down and we'll bring you some food." Mike said.
Megan and I went and sat down at the dining room table and waited for food.
"Why didn't you wanna tell him where we were?" I asked, making sure Mike couldn't hear me.
"Well I just kind of assumed that you would want Josh to know before anyone else found out." Megan said, patting my shoulder.
"Thank you Megan." I smiled.
Mike and Tristan came on and gave us our plates of food.
"Pancakes and bacon for the lovely ladies." Tristan said, pretending to be a waiter.
"Thank you Tristan." I said, smiling at Mike.
After we ate, Megan and I were watching tv. I got an email from the nurse from earlier today.
"Hello Miss Ramsay, I have your results and I'll have one of the nurses call your residential number before the end of today."
I thought she said a couple of days. That was surprisingly quick. I'll just have to make sure when the phone rings it's me or Megan who answers.
We were all watching a movie. Though I couldn't concentrate very well. I was anxious for the phone call.
The phone rang and I jumped.
"I wonder who that could be." Mike said standing up.
I looked Megan in the eye with a flash of panic.
I stumbled over the edge of the couch, jumping into the kitchen attempting to get to the phone first.
