I guess I had been thinking for longer than I knew. Because before I knew it Dad was right beside me with his hand on my shoulder.

"Cadi? Is everything okay?" He asked, looking concerned.

"Yeah. I'm good. It's just..." I started, getting cut off as a nurse walked up to us.

"Acadia Ramsay? I need to talk to you privately for a moment." The nurse spoke softly and calmly.

"Okay. Daddy I'll be right back. You can go sit with Megan in the waiting room for a minute." I said, hugging him and following the nurse to a room where we could talk.

"Acadia, this usually doesn't happen and we're so sorry that we did this. But, we accidentally switched your test results with another patients' I am so sorry." She said.

"I'm not sure if that's good news or bad news. What are my actual results?" I was almost shaking as I spoke.

"Your results are negative in every test that we did. You don't have any disorders. You are normal... well as normal as someone can be." She was smiling the whole time she spoke.

We both shared a laugh over her 'normal' comment.

"That is the best thing I've heard in weeks. Thank you so much." I hugged her and skipped, happily, back to the waiting room.

Relief washed over me as I walked up to Megan and Dad.
