I had never been so instantly captivated in my life.
By the looks of it, he was a bit shorter than I was; he was dressed in black skinny jeans ripped on both knees and a red flannel that was unbuttoned slightly, exposing his chest. He had blonde hair, which I could tell wasn’t natural, as I could see a bit of brown peeking out at the roots.
He was rather pale and didn’t look very muscular, but at the same time had a certain intrigue about him. His eyes were his best feature; they were like two deep blue lakes that I wanted to drown in.
He seemed of the cheery sort, moving with a certain bounce in his step. Like a ray of sunshine. Yeah; that was the best way to describe him.
A hot ray of pure sunshine.
When his eyes met mine, I felt as though I had been struck by lightning; the electricity was surging all throughout my body.
I couldn’t deny that he was perfect.
He turned, beaming at me with his straight, white smile.
Oh God. He started walking towards me.
I looked like shit today.
Why did this have to happen to me today?
Damn my wanting to sleep in.
“Hi!” The boy said with his had extended. Not thinking, or even being able to react like a human being, I sat there paralyzed. I stared up at him, mouth agape.
I probably looked like a total dumbass.
The blonde boy slowly withdrew his hand, looking a little let down.
At that moment I snapped out of my trance.
“Err….hi…” I said slowly. The boy smiled slightly.
“I’m Niall,” the boy said sheepishly, sensing my hesitation.
“ ’M Harry.”
“Harry, eh? Short for Harold?”
I smiled, detecting his thick Irish accent when he spoke this time, “Just Harry…..”
He sat in the desk next to me. “Sorry. So, just Harry, where are you from? I’m from Mullingar, Ireland.”
“Holmes Chapel.” I didn’t say much more. Just mentioning my home town always brought back memories I tried hard to forget.
Niall got the hint; he nodded slightly and turned around, plugging in his iPod. I could feel that he wanted to say more, though.
Class started shortly after. It was more interesting than my last class, but only because every now and then I could feel Niall’s eyes on me.
I knew I was going to like this school.
