“Ugh….LOUIS!!”

“LOUEHHHH!!!!!!”

LEWIS!”

HAROLD!”

Asshole.

“Get your fat arse in here!”

Louis sauntered into my very messy room, looking all too pleased with himself.

“What do you want, your majesty,” he fake-bowed.

Ugh. Why was I friends with him?

“Don’t laugh at me…”

“Never, Hazzy,” he winked.

“I—I have no idea what to wear.” I sighed as I pushed my uncontrollably long curls out of my eyes.

“You cannot be serious…” he raised an eyebrow.

“Help me?” I squealed and gave him my cutest smile.

He chuckled at me. I knew my helplessness would get to him. “Anything for you, my queen.”

Louis quickly picked out my favorite pair of tight black skinny jeans and a baggy grey Henley top. He fashioned my hair into a small bun and threw my black ankle boots at me.

“You had better shake a leg or we’re going to be later than we already are!” He bellowed as he raced out the door and to his car. I followed close behind him. As I ducked into the car, I was careful not the let the excitement show on my face; though I was sure he could already tell, seeing as I had him pick out my outfit.

It took us about an hour to get there, which only made me more nervous. I hated having too much time to think sometimes, especially when I was anxious. What if Niall thought I looked like I was trying too hard? What if no one liked me? What if it happened again?

I could feel myself starting to sweat. Just as an overwhelming urge to jump from the car came over me, we pulled into an enormous driveway. Thank God.

The house was huge. It had giant windows that stretched from floor to roof and beautiful high ceilings. The house looked so warm and inviting from the outside. It was one of those houses that sat on stilts just above a glassy, clear lake below. This had to be some sort of elaborate dream I was having. I hadn’t been invited to something like this in years. Just then, my nerves hit me again full force.

“Ready, mate.”

“I don’t know, Lou. Last time—“

“I remember, Haz. But I’m here for you no matter what, okay?” He gave me a knowing smile. He always knew how to cheer me up. I don’t know where I would have been without Louis in my life.
