Giant In The Mountains

Y/N's POV
It was the middle of winter and was bored at home so I decided to take a trip up into the mountains for the weekend to go snowboarding. Snowboarding has always been one of my favorite winter activities as it keeps me active and it's good exercise. Once I got to the place, I noticed a good amount of people were here which meant it was a good day for snowboarding. When I got to the slopes, I noticed one of them had a sign that said 'Forbidden'. "That's weird. Why is this one forbidden?" I said to myself in confusion. Out of curiosity, I decided to check it out so I can ride it. However, it didn't go as planned since I didn't go towards the ski lift and accidentally slipped and fell which caused me to tumble down a big snowy hill. I screamed as I continued to tumble down the hill until I hit the bottom. I then felt a huge shadow over me as I lost consciousness.

Harry's POV
I was out going for a walk in the mountains as it was the perfect day to get out of my mountain home to get some air. As I was about to head home, I heard screaming. I then looked down to see a human girl unconscious on the ground. She must've fell from the forbidden slope which is very dangerous. I couldn't leave her outside so I gently scooped her out of the snow, slowly lifted her of the ground, cradled her against my chest, and took her into my house to get warm. "Don't worry, little one. You're out of the cold now." I then gently placed her on the coffee table and turned on the fireplace so she can warm up. "I'm going to go take a shower and when I come back down I'm going to make us some hot cocoa." I said as I left her on the table and went to my bathroom to take a shower. Hot water always made me feel good on a cold day. I got into my pajamas after I got out of the shower and dried off. I kept my shirt open so I don't sweat too much. I then went back to see if my little friend has woken up.

Y/N's POV
After what felt like a while, I finally regained consciousness and woke up. But when I woke up, I noticed that I was in someone's house and it was huge. The one question that was ringing through my mind was, 'did I shrink?' but I still felt like I was the same size as I was before so I then thought the entire world grew around me. I was really scared and confused but I was still very calm since I was never one to cry with the exception of rare occasions like at funerals. I lose my train of thought when everything around me began to rumble. As soon as heard thundering footsteps, I knew that a giant was coming but when I turned to face him, not only did I notice how big he was but he was extremely handsome. "You're awake." His voice was surprisingly really soothing. "Thank goodness. I got worried after you tumbled down the mountain." Said the friendly giant as he came closer to me. "How long was I out?" I asked a little concerned. "About 20 minutes." I found it unbelievable that I was only out for only 20 minutes. It felt longer than that. I tried getting up but I felt dizzy. "Here let me take you into the kitchen. I can make us some hot cocoa." I almost wanted to decline his offer but I couldn't say no to hot cocoa so I slowly climbed onto the giant's hand so he can take me into the kitchen. I'm not going to lie his hand was extremely soft which made it even better. "Alright, hold on tight, little one." I held on tightly as the giant picked me up and cradled me against his chest. I normally don't like to be cradled but I didn't mind since I was cold and the giant's heartbeat was very soothing. "By the way, my name's Harry. What's your name?" I looked up at Harry as he introduced himself. "My name's Y/N." I said. "It's nice to meet you Y/N. I'm going to set you on the table while I make the cocoa, ok?" Said Harry gently setting me on the table. While he made the hot cocoa, I took a look at how lovely his home was. It looks like a fairy tale cottage with a modern twist which is really nice. I lost my train of thought when Harry came back over. "Here you go, honey." Said Harry as he handed me a cup of cocoa that was small enough for me.

Harry's POV
After I was done making the cocoa, I grabbed a mug for myself and a small enough one for Y/N, served the cocoa, and brought them over to the table. "Here you go, honey." I said as I handed the small cup to Y/N. "Thanks, Harry." Said Y/N. "I'm so glad you survived that avalanche. Some people don't even make it out alive." I told Y/N about how dangerous that slope was. "Well, you saved me from freezing to death. I don't think I could've made it without you." That filled my heart with joy after Y/N thanked me for saving her. "That's really sweet of you to say. Usually when I save someone, they run away from me. It's mostly because I'm a giant and typically when you meet a giant in a forrest or mountain, they say you have to run away or the giant will eat you but that's only in storybooks. I'm actually very gentle and I'm a vegetarian." I said to Y/N feeling sad at the fact that people judge me because I'm a giant. I then felt my heart break thinking about everyone that ran away from me and began to tear up. "I really wish people didn't believe what the storybooks say." I looked down in sadness for 30 second until I felt something hug my finger. I looked at what it was and surely enough, it was Y/N. "I'm really sorry that you deal with that. No one deserves to be treated like that. You're such a sweet guy." I smiled in response. She then climbed onto my shirt up to my neck and gave me a kiss on my neck. "Everyone deserves a friend." I chuckled in response. Not only because of her kind words but because her tiny body tickles my skin. "Thank you so much. That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me." I said as I gently picked her up and gave her a very gentle kiss. "Let's go watch a movie on the couch."

Y/N's POV
Harry was literally the sweetest guy on the planet. When he took me into the living room to watch a movie, he let me snuggle on his tummy which was really nice because his skin was really soft and he let me use his shirt as a blanket to keep me warm. "Thanks for letting me stay here, Harry. I really appreciate it." I said to Harry. "No problem, Y/N. You stay as long as you need to." Said Harry as he held me close which put me to sleep. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
