Hungry Giant

Rylee's POV

I was on my way home from a nice long walk at the park. About halfway home, a storm was coming in and storm was coming in and it was a pretty severe one. I tried to run home as fast as I could, but sirens went off which issued a tornado warning, and the tornado landed a block away from me. It was too fast for me to outrun and was swept up by the twister. I thought I had died as everything went black, but I woke up in another world (Wizard of Oz reference). I looked around to see everything was bigger. I felt my heart racing in fear as I knew I was in a world of giants. I never knew giants existed and I'm terrified. What if they eat humans like in the stories? I then felt thunderous footsteps coming from behind me causing to quiver in fear. I look behind to see a huge giant coming from behind. I was consumed with so much fear it caused me to pass out and blacked out as a huge shadow hovered over me.

Harry's POV 

After a very long and stressful day, I was very hungry so I couldn't wait to make dinner. I haven't been this hungry in a while but it's probably because I didn't eat anything all day. I was about to enter my house when I spotted something on my front doorstep. I looked closer to see it was human who just fainted as soon as I saw her. She must've been so scared. Poor thing. I slowly knelt down and gently scooped her in my hands. "You poor thing. You must've come from another world." I cradled her against my tummy as I slowly stood up. "It's ok, sweetheart. I'll take you inside and get you taken care of." I gently placed her on a pillow. "I hope you wake up soon. I would hate if anything bad happened to you." I gently placed a small cloth over her like a blanket so she can stay warm. "I'm gonna go get dinner started. I'll come check on you in few minutes." I said before I went to the kitchen and start cooking.

Rylee's POV

I was out for a good 5 minutes or so before I started to regain consciousness. I look around to see where I am, and I was shocked to see that I was in the Giant's house. Did he take me in after I fainted? I once again became afraid as giant booming footsteps headed towards me and he came towards me. "You're awake. Thank goodness. I was starting to worry." I backed up in fear of what he might do to me. "Are you ok, sweetheart?" I began to cry as he knelt down closer to me. "Come here, little one. It's ok. I won't hurt you." I flinched as he reached over with his gargantuan hand and picked me up. "I know I'm a giant but I'm very gentle." I started to calm down at the tone of his voice. It was booming yet he was very soft spoken. "Why don't you come join me for dinner? I'm making vegetables and rice." I was pretty hungry, so I accepted his invitation. On our way to the kitchen, the Giant's stomach rumbled very loud causing me to cover my head in fear. "I'm so sorry, sweetheart. I haven't eaten all day." I was then surprised he hugged me against his chest. "Nothing's gonna jump out at you, little one. I'm just hungry. I'll feel better once I get food in me." I felt even more nervous as he placed me on the table. "What's your name?" He asked. "R-Rylee." I said nervously. "It's wonderful meet you, Rylee. I'm Harry." He said he brought over two plates of food. Mine was shrunken down so I wouldn't struggle with eating. "Here you go, sweetie." I was so thankful Harry offered me food. I was about to thank him until I saw him take a bite which made me realize how big his teeth are. I looked down in fear while eating as I was afraid Harry was gonna eat me. I've always heard giants are the most dangerous when they're hungry and I was afraid Harry was no different. As I finished eating, I sat in a fetal position facing away from as Harry still afraid he might eat me. "Rylee, are you ok?" I felt my heart beating very fast afraid to speak. I heard him put both plates in the sink before he knelt down in front of me. "What's going on, sweetie?" I then burst into tears again knowing I couldn't hide my fear anymore. "Did you think I was going to eat you?"

Harry's POV's

Rylee didn't look at me at all during dinner and when looked at her face, I figured out why as she burst into tears again. "Did you think I was gonna eat you?" She nodded as she continued to cry. "Come here, sweetie." I gently scooped her into the palm of my hand and gently rubbed her back. "Shh I won't eat you, little one." I said trying to comfort Rylee. "But I-I thought h-hungry giants were dangerous." I then realize she read the stories. "I totally forgot to mention this but I'm actually a vegetarian. I never liked the idea of eating humans. While there are giants that eat humans, I'm not one of them. I've always been very gentle towards humans and not once have I had the urge to eat one." I then notice Rylee look down in guilt. "I'm sorry, Harry." Said Rylee hiding her face in shame. "No, don't apologize. You were scared. I can't get mad at you for being scared. It's completely normal especially because you never know if a giant is gentle or not. Let me show you how gentle I am." I brought Rylee up to my face and gave her a gentle kiss. "You're completely safe."

Rylee's POV's

I didn't realize how gentle Harry was until he gave me a kiss. It was the biggest yet the most gentle kiss I've ever received. His lips are very soft as well which made it even better. "You're completely safe." His voice rumbled over me as he spoke after he slowly pulled away but it was a very gentle rumble which caused me to giggle. "You're so cute." Said Harry. "You wanna go outside on my back porch?" Asked Harry. "I'd love to." I said as Harry cradled me against his tummy, took me to his back porch, sat on a lounge chair, and gently placed me his tummy to relax. "So, I got ask, how did you get to the Land of Giants?" Asked Harry. "I was swept away by a tornado." I said as I began to snuggle. "You poor thing. No wonder you were so scared when you woke up. You already went through a traumatic moment." I snuggled even more. "That and I've never seen a giant before." I spoke. "I'm just thankful you're still alive and that you didn't end up with an evil giant. The world isn't ready to lose another angel." I giggled in response but shivered due to the wind. "Here. I'll keep you warm." Harry gently placed a weighted blanket over me to keep me warm. "You're so little. I just wanna protect you at all cost." I hugged his finger. "You're so gentle, Harry." I spoke. "I'm sorry for thinking you were going to eat me." I added on. "Don't worry about it. Mostly blame not only the stories that portray us in a negative light but I also blame the evil giants for giving us a bad name. Most giants are very gentle and very friendly." I then felt Harry pick me up and held me in front of his face. "I won't let anyone hurt you. I'll keep you safe." He then gave me another kiss. "I love you, Rylee." I smiled. "I love you too, Harry." Harry then placed me back on his tummy which allowed me to snuggle again. I felt very safe with Harry and I didn't want to leave him so he offered me to stay with him and happily accepted. He's so sweet and I love him so much.
