A Stark and a Barnes (Bucky x Reader)

Chapter 12

Tony's pov
-Fury has finally finished.- I said entering the tower -Jarvis, where are y/n and Manchurian Candidate?-
-Just stop calling him that, Tony.- Steve said.
-Yes, yes, Capsicle, as you wish. Where are they anyway?- I asked, rolling my eyes.
-Sergeant Barnes and Miss Stark are in Miss's cinema room.- the AI ​​replied -They're just watching a movie, Mr. Stark.- he specified.
-I'll go check it out anyway, thanks Jarvis.- I said as I walked to the elevator, followed by Steve and Nat.
As we went down, I was really scared, I don't know why.
That Bucky wasn't telling me right.
We arrived at y/n's floor and entered.
I quickly ran to the room and squeezed in, followed by the redhead and the blonde.
-Tony...- Steve called me back.
When I saw the two I noticed Bucky, awake, looking at me quite badly and y/n, asleep, with her head resting on the arm of the sofa.
-She fell asleep just now, don't scream and don't mess around.- Bucky whispered, pointing at her, then stood up and we all went out of her room.
-Later we will wake her up, as soon as Peter arrives.- Nat suggested and I nodded.
"If she had been awake I would have proposed her to spend time together, perhaps in the laboratory, to try to make up for the time we have lost." I thought to myself "I don't have to worry. I still have time to be with her." I told myself.
I took the elevator up to the 25th.
As soon as I sat down on the sofa, I got a call from Pepper.
-Hey baby.- I said answering -How are you?-
-Hey love. Pretty well. You, the Avengers and y/n?-
-We are all well. How are meetings and business progressing?- I asked.
-Good. Very good, actually. We got it all done relatively quickly. So tomorrow afternoon I'll send someone to get her. Do you advise her to pack her bags?-

I had just found her and she already had to leave.
-But...but...don't you also think it's good for her to be here?- I asked looking around -She can talk to people...she's helping Peter with the suit...and she's even training.-
-Tony...- she said shaking her head a bit -If she stay there, with you, she wouldn't concentrate with her studies because she would spend all her time in the laboratory, not to mention that we would all be with the constant fear of her being discovered by the world and besides, we both know she's not safe there. You said it yourself, remember?- she asked in a sweet voice.
-I know, love, I know...- I said sighing heavily -It's just...I don't want her to go away...-
-And I don't want to take her away from you, Tony. You know, don't you?- She asked, her voice almost broken.
-I know, Pepper, I know...I'm going...I'm going to warn the others.- I said with a sigh.
-Why? Where is she now?- She asked a little worried.
-She is sleeping in her cinema room. First Fury called us and we left her with the Captain's friend, when we arrived, she was asleep. As soon as the spider boy arrives I will go to wake her up.- I explained.
-That is fine. Say hello to everyone.- Pepper said.

-I love you too.- she said and then ended the call.
I put the phone down by my side and put a hand to my face, rubbing my forehead.
"Tomorrow afternoon I'll send someone to get her."
Those words thundered in my head.
-Why...? - I whispered getting up and walking in the hall -Why now?-
-Mr Stark, do you want me to call everyone here?- Jarvis asked.
-Yes, thanks J, I would appreciate it.- I said getting up and going to have a glass of my alcohol.
I sat down on the sofa and swallowed the contents.
-Ok, Stark drinking is normal. Stark drinking at six in the afternoon with his daughter here is not normal.- Natasha said as she entered, followed by everyone else.
-Is everything ok?- asked Bruce -What happened?-
-It's all ok. All. Damn. Ok. Nothing is happening.- I replied filling the glass and swallowing another sip of whiskey.
-He's not gonna talk, that's fine. Jarvis, what's going on?- Steve asked looking at me.
-Mrs Stark has communicated to Mr Stark that tomorrow afternoon she will send someone to pick up the miss, since she has finished the meetings.- Jarvis explained.
Everyone held their breath, shocked.
-No...- Nat whispered in a surprised tone and I dare say sad too -No...can't you do anything to keep her here?- She asked hopefully.
I shook my head slowly.
-Mr Stark. Peter has arrived.- I inform Jarvis.
-Let him in.- I said leaning back on the sofa.
Then the others sat down too.
-Good afternoon everyone.- he said entering smiling -What...what's going on?- he asked seeing us.
-Tomorrow afternoon y/n will go home.- Steve said directly.
-Oh...where is she now?- He asked looking at the floor.
-She is sleeping in her cinema room. Could you kindly wake her up?- I asked giving him a half smile -I will tell Jarvis to let you in.-
-On your orders, Mr. Stark.- he said as he walked to the elevator.
-And Peter...-
-Yes?- He asked turning around.
-Don't tell her anything, okay? I want to tell her.-
-I understand perfectly.- he smiled and disappeared into the elevator.
-I'll miss seeing the similarities between her and Howard.- Steve said.
-I'll miss having her in the lab asking questions and calculations.- Bruce said.
-I'll miss eating Pop tarts with her on the couch.- Thor said.
-I will miss having her in the gym.- Natasha said.
-I'll miss seeing her get mad at herself because she calls me Mr. Barton.- Clint said.
-Like this you're certainly not helping.- I said getting up and sighing.
-Sorry Tony.- they said in chorus.
-The sooner we tell her, the better will be.- I said walking towards the door, followed by the others.
We all went up to the 26th floor and found the two kids sitting on the sofa laughing and joking.
We stopped for a moment to look at them.
"I'll miss hearing her laugh around the tower." I thought bringing to mind those few memories I had of her as a child "If I could go back I would change a lot of things, unfortunately I can't. I'm really sorry my little one." I thought.
