While I was waiting for dad I decided to text Bucky.
Bucket ❤
Hey Buck.
Nat and Wanda told me what you said to my dad.
I love you too.
Don't forget it.
No matter what you have done in your past.
I still love you.
I don't care if you killed my grandparents.
That was the Winter Soldier, not you.
So, please, after I talk to dad, come to see me.
I miss you so much.
<3I turned off my phone, hoping that he would have come to see me.
When dad walked in the room, Nat had just brought me my dinner.
-Romanoff, could you leave me alone with my daughter?- he asked, but I couldn't understand his tone.
She looked at me and I nodded.
She left the room as dad sat on the chair.
-Hi.- I simply said, taking a bite of what Nat brought me.
-Hi.- he said looking at me -So...why did you run away?- he asked.
-Directly to the point I see. Well, because you cared for Peter more than you cared for me. And don't lie, please.- I said.
-It's not that. It was just...I didn't want you to feel obligated to like that sort of thing just because I work with that. I don't want you to fight crime and get hurt. For me you're still my little girl.- he said in a sad and guilty tone -I'm truly sorry I put you in second place, I didn't want to, it just happened. I love you, you know that right? I never said out loud but I'm proud of you. I know it's hard, but could you ever forgive me?- he asked with teary eyes.
-Yes, I can dad.- I smiled, then he came to hug me -I love you too.- I smiled, resting my head on his shoulder.
-I would never ever again put anyone or anything over you. I promise.-
After we broke the hug, we talked a little, so we could understand each other.
-Why do you hate Bucky so much?- I asked.
-He killed my parents.- he said.
-It wasn't him. It was the Winter Soldier.- I said.
-I won't change my mind about it.- he said.
-He was brainwashed. He wasn't in control of his own body! Could you even imagine how traumatising it is living in a situation like this?- I had to try to change his mind.
-I repeat it. I won't change my mind about it.-
-Then, for me, you killed Wanda's parents.- I said, crossing my arms.
-What? Why would you say something like this?- he asked, confused.
-Because your bomb killed them.- I explain.
-It were my bombs, not me.- he said -I didn't want to kill them, of course. It wasn't my choice.- he explained.
-Then it was Bucky's body but not his mind! Do you really think Bucky enjoyed killing all those innocent people?- I said, a little angry -If I'd said that for me Tony Stark is still the man who just like to party and promoted war and created army, what would you say?- I asked, calming down and taking a deep breath.
-I would say that I'm not that man anymore. That I'm trying to fight for what's right and I'm trying to be a good person.- he said.
-That's exactly what Bucky is trying to do. To be a good person and to help other people. So, tell me, why you still see him as a bad guy if he's doing he same thing as you?- I asked, he didn't say anything, but it was clear from his expression that he was thinking about my words -You two are not so different if you think about it, uh?- I said tilting my head a little.
-I...- he was speechless and he didn't know what to say -I just...-
-I'm right and you don't know how to say it. You're a little in shook and that's completely normal.- I said resting my hand on his shoulder.
-I need time.- he said, standing up and leaving the room.
After a few moments Bucky entered the room.
-Hey.- I smiled at him.
-Hey.- he said, sitting next to me on the bed.
-How are you?- I asked, taking his hand in mine, patting it.
-I'm okay. But you're the harmed one, so how are you?- he said looking at my shoulder.
-I'm good, Bruce gave me some painkillers a while ago.- I said -Just for you to know, I don't think you're bad, okay? I love you.- I said, stroking his cheek.
-Mhmh. I love you too.- he nodded and kissed me softly on the lips.
-As I texted you before I don't care what you did in your past. That wasn't you. You're a good man who's trying to make amends for what you've done in your past. Alright?- I asked him in a sweet tone.
-Yeah, thanks.- he said and I saw his eyes became teary -Jarvis made me hear what you said to your dad and...I really appreciated it. Thank you, doll. For standing up for me.-
-You're welcome. I'll always be by your side. I mean it. Every word I said I mean it.- I smiled at him -I missed you so much.-
-I missed you too, love.- he said hugging me and I rested my head on his chest as his arms wrapped around me -When I found you I was so scared that I would have lost you. There was so much blood.- his voice was trembling.
-Hey, it's okay now. I'm here and I'm with you, so I'm fine.- I reassured him.
At that moment the door opened and mum came in.
-Your dad was...oh.- she stopped talking when she saw us, then Bucky stood up and he walked away from me.
We were both blushing pretty hard.
-Mum it's not how it seems.- I said, flicking my eyes from mum to Bucky.
She looked at us for a few seconds with a serious face, then she smiled at us.
-Oh sweetie, it's okay if you have a relationship.- she said -If you're happy, I am too.- she said to me, then she looked at him -James, just be careful around Tony, at the begin he could not take this as a good news, but he will eventually, so don't worry too much, okay?-
-Mhmh. Thanks Mrs Stark.- he nodded, calming down a little.
-Just Pepper, James. It's fine.- she smiled warmly at him.
-Okay, thanks Pepper. Call me Bucky.- he said.
-Alright, Bucky.- she smiled -I'm going back to the others. I'll bring you dinner later.- she said leaving us alone again.
