Chapter 29

y/n's pov
A couple of more weeks have passed and I was fully concentrating on trying to improve dad's old armors.
-Okay J now, move this a little a little higher, upgrade this mechanism, change this piece with something similar but with a less impact on the set if armour and...- I said dividing the pieces.
-y/n, it's pretty late and you didn't have dinner.- Jarvis said.
-What do you say Jar? It's just 7 pm.- I said continuing.
-y/n, it's 11 pm actually.- 
-What?- I looked up surprised at the clock.
-Doll? Is everything alright?- Bucky walked into the lab, with a little bag in his hand.
-Hey Buck, yeah I'm fine. I just lost track of time I guess.- I said sitting down, relaxing a little.
When I was really concentrating on working on something, I often forgot to eat, drink or even take a break during the day.
When this happened the others often said that I remember them dad, for my behavior.
-I brought you this.- he handed me the bag, revealing a cheeseburger.
Until now I didn't realize how hungry I was.
-God, thank you, I love you so much.- I smiled at him, taking a bite of my meal.
-You're welcome, I love you too.- he said, sitting next me -Any improvements, little genius?- he asked.
-Yes, but it's very little things, nothing worth talking about.- I shrugged.
-But I'm interested, I really am, so tell me about them.-
-It's boring stuff...and you're very sweet Buck but you don't have to say it just to make me happy, y'know?-
-I'm not, I swear. I'm really interested because when I was your age I didn't have all this...stuff.- he said, moving his hand, indicating the laboratory.
-Ok, ok, Bucket.- I chuckled, smiled at him and I started talking trying to make him understand the simplest things -So that's...- I yawned -That's how it works.- I finished after an hour of talking. 
-That was interesting, love, but now you need some sleep.- he said smiling softly.
-No...I don't...- I yawned again -Okay, maybe a little. But not because you said it.-
-You're really stubborn, aren't you?- he said as I stood up -Do you want me to accompany you? So you don't fall asleep in the elevator?- 
-Yes please.- I said as we walked to reach the elevator.
-What do I get as a reward?- he grinned.
-A kiss is enough?- I smiled as we passed the metallic doors.
-I'll make it enough.- he smiled mischievous, putting his hands on my hips and pulling me closer to him, kissing me passionately as I brought my arms around his neck. 
When we broke the kiss, he hugged me tightly like he was scared to lose me.
-You okay, babe?- I asked, ruffling his hair.
-Yeah. Since I'm with you I don't have nightmares anymore, so I'm more than okay. Thank you.- he smiled.
-I didn't do anything apart from being by your side, Buck, you should be thanking yourself for allowing me to love you.- I smiled, taking his hand.
-I love you.- he said simply. 
-I love you too.- I said leaving a soft kiss on his lips -That's my stop, I'll see you tomorrow morning. Goodnight Buck.-
-Goodnight doll, sweet dreams.- he smiled.
I entered my floor and I noticed that Wanda was already sleeping.
I silently changed my clothes, went to bed and quickly fell asleep. 
The next morning I woke up pretty early.
Without waking up Wanda I wore a hoodie and a pair of leggings, then I went to the kitchen.
-Morning Jarvis.- I said, eating my breakfast. 
-Goodmorning y/n. You're up pretty early, it's just 7:30 am. No-one is up yet.- he said.
-Yeah, I wanted to go to the lab before dad and Bruce, to check my results.- I simply said.
-You sure you did get enough sleep? Did you eat something yesterday?- he asked.
-Yeah, J. Buck brought me a cheeseburger and accompanied me to my floor.- 
-Good, I can handle one Stark who doesn't eat or sleep enough, but two is too much. And it's very unhealthy especially as a young age as yours.-
-Thanks for caring, J. I'll try to not make it happen again.- I smiled.
-If Mr Stark doesn't eat or sleep I can't do much apart threatened him to tell Mrs Stark, but if you do it I can send the Sergeant and I know you'll listen to him.-
-C'mon I'm not a child.- I complained.
-You're right, you're a teen. You didn't want to check something in the lab?- he reminded me.
-Oh shit, right, thanks.- I said going to the elevator for the 15th floor.
I started working on my project and I lost track of time, again.

I didn't see you at breakfast and all morning. 
Are you in the lab? 
Doll? 

Good morning Buck.
Yup, I'm in the lab, but this morning I had breakfast. 
You can ask Jarvis.

I don't have to.

He snitched on dad, like once or twice. 
I wouldn't be so sure.

Oh god.
Now I'm a little scared. 
Anyway, did you have lunch?

Not yet, why?

Would you like it if I brought you something to eat and we had lunch together?

After ten minutes Bucky came into the laboratory and we ate together, laughing and cuddling a little.
When Steve called Bucky for their daily workouts I came back to my work.
Around 4 pm I had finished and I proudly walked to the main room with my papers.
