Me and Bucky talked and cuddled until mum came in to bring the dinner.
-You two can eat here, together.- she smiled -The others are okay with it, don't worry.- mum said noticing Bucky's expression.
-What about Tony? If he comes here and finds me, he'll get mad.- Bucky said.
-No, don't worry. I think he understood that you two really love each other. He's probably gonna...- mum was interrupted by Jarvis's voice.
-I'm sorry to interrupt you Mrs Stark, but Mr Stark would like to have a little chat with the Sergeant after the dinner.-
-In his office?- Bucky asked.
-Yes, Mr Barnes.-
-Okay. Tell him I'll meet him later.- he said.
-Don't be afraid of him. He just wants to protect his family.- mum reassured him.
-That's what I would do it too, it's okay, I understand.-
-Alright, I'll leave you to eat in peace.- she said smiling and leaving the room.
-Do you want me to come with you?- I asked.
-No, doll. It's okay, I can handle him.- he smiled softly at me.
-I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little scared.- I said lowering my gaze.
-Everything is gonna be fine, love. Don't worry.- he said, stroking my cheek.
-Okay, Buck. Now let's eat, I'm starving.- I nodded at him.
We quickly had dinner and I tried to keep him with me as long as possible.
-Okay, love, now I really have to go now.- he said, standing up.
-Be careful, okay?- I said, a little worried.
-I will be. I'll see you later.- he said, kissing me and moving a lock of hair behind my ear.
-Bye Buck. I love you.- I said waving.
-Bye y/n/n, I love you too.- he smiled and closed the door behind him.
"I really hope that those two don't kill each other." I thought, feeling a wave of anxiety hitting me.
Bucky's pov
I left the room and I walked to Tony's office.
I took a deep breath before knocking at the door.
-Come in.- he said from inside.
I lowered the handle and went inside.
-You wanted to talk to me, Stark?- I asked, closing the door behind me.
He was sitting on his chair behind the desk.
-Yeah, Barnes. Take a seat.- he said pointing at the chairs in front of me.
I did as he said, without breaking the eye contact.
-What do you want to talk about?- I asked.
-Like you don't know, c'mon Barnes, I know you know why you're here.- he said putting his hands on the table.
-I suppose it is about my...ehm... let's call it...relationship with your daughter.- I said.
-That's right.- he said looking out of the window -So...you love her?- he asked, without looking at me.
-Yeah, I do.- I smiled involuntarily.
-Why?- he asked after a moment of silence -I mean...did she did or say something in particular?-
-No, she was just being herself, that's why I fell in love with her. She was by my side when I had a nightmare. She came to rescue me in the Hydra base and took a bullet, just to save me. She's intelligent, kind, beautiful, funny, ambitious. She's one of the best human beings I know.- I said looking at my hands -I don't want to hurt her. I really don't, Tony.- I said looking at him.
-Someone told her about our fight?- he asked.
-Yeah, Natasha and Wanda did. They told her everything.- I nodded.
-So she knows that you...- he took a deep breath -That the Winter Soldier killed my parents?- he corrected himself.
I was pretty shocked about his behaviour, but in a good way.
-Yeah. We talked about it and she is okay with it. I mean she doesn't blame me.-
-Good, good...- he said, nodding, looking at some papers on the desk.
-Tony, listen to me. I know I'm not the type of guy you thought that your daughter would end up with but...- I was saying when he interrupted me.
-What do you mean by "would end up with"? Are you two together?- he asked, widening his eyes.
"Shit..." I thought, mentally cursing myself.
-I meant...well...- I mumbled, scratching my neck.
He, without a word, stood up and walked to the door.
I couldn't understand his expression.
-Let's go.- he said, opening the door.
-Where?- I asked, confused, but doing as he said.
-The infirmary.-
While we walked, both of us didn't even try to start a conversation.
Tony opened the door and when we entered, Pepper was there.
-Hey love, what's the problem?- she asked.
-I need to talk to y/n and the Sergeant. Can you leave us alone, honey?- he asked and I saw y/n's expression changing.
Now she was scared and worried.
-Yeah, if there are any problems just ask Jarvis to tell us.- she said to Tony, but I'm pretty she wanted to say that to y/n.
Pepper left and Tony closed the door.
-So y/n...I was talking to Barnes before and I suspect that you two have a relationship...please be honest. Are you two together?-
-Yes.- she said directly and without excitation -Yes dad. Me and Bucky are dating.- she smiled at me and I smiled back at her.
-How long have you two been dating?- he asked.
-A few months. Like a couple of months.- I said, getting closer to her.
-y/n, sweetheart, what did you find in him?- he asked.
He had a weird tone and I couldn't understand.
-He cares for me. The day when I fell asleep in the laboratory he was the only one who noticed that I wasn't there and tried to find. He is the only one who brought me food when I was in the lab and I forgot to eat or drink because I was too stubborn to stop working. He makes me feel safe. I just...love him, I just do. There isn't anything in particular that he did or said for making me fall in love with him.- she smiled taking my hand in hers.
Tony looked at us for a few seconds, then he sighed.
-Okay...so...ehm...you two can continue this relationship.-
-Really? Thanks dad.- she smiled.
-But Barnes, if you hurt her, I will make you pay.- he said.
-Wanda and Nat said the same.- y/n said smiling.
-They knew?- Tony asked, surprised.
-Yup.- she nodded, smiling.
-I won't hurt her, Tony. You can be sure about it.- I smiled.
