DEANNA'S POV

Tumutunog na yung alarm ko but I could barely open my eyes.

Sobrang maga nito.

I can't do this. Baka maging pabigat lang ako sa team.

I should just give up now kesa naman matalo pa kami dahil sakin.

That's right. I'll just go back to Cebu nalang. May next conference pa naman. Bahala na.

"Deans get up, we need to prep na. Susunduin na tayo mamaya" sabi ni Ate Mads.

"I can't ate. Magiging pabigat lang ako sa inyo." I said and covered a pillow over my head.

"Yes you can! Bumangon ka jan kundi kakaladkarin kita papuntang CR!" pagbabanta nya.

Ate Maddie can be tough if she needs to. I know it's for my own good din.

"Di ko nga kaya ate. The team is better off without me and besides, ang tagal ko na di nakapag laro. Maybe I'm off my game"

"Kalokohan! You are a great setter and the team is counting on you kaya bumangon ka na jan."

Nabigla naman ako when I felt Ate Mads grab my leg ang yank me off the bed.

"OUCH!!!" I cried out.

"I will not let you fail your Dad! Alam ko pagsisisihan mo rin pag nag give up ka ngayon!" sabi sabi nya habang kinakaladkad ako papuntang CR.

I was just a crying mess. I didn't open my eyes because I don't wanna face this reality.

What is life without my Jema?

I just sat there huddled in the corner na parang asong takot paliguan.

I could barely breathe kasi panay parin ang paghihikbi ko. I clutched my knees closer to my body.

Then I felt the warm water raining above my head. I looked up and saw ate Mads holding the shower head above me.

"Please Deans. Don't give up. If you can't do it for yourself or for the team, do it for your Dad. I know you're hurting bad but tito doesn't need disappointment right now"

"Kayanin natin to, okay? Kahit umiyak ka pa after every training, I'll be by your side. Basta wag ka lang susuko please." pagmamakaawa ni ate Maddie.
