DEANNA'S POV
Pinagtitinginan na ako ng mga tao sa kasi basang basa akong tumatakbo papasok ng airport.
I looked around the waiting area and check-in counters desperately looking for any signs of Jema or Lexie hanggang naka abot na ako malapit sa boarding gates.
"Ma'am boarding pass po?" tanong ng isang guard.
"Kuya kasi may titingnan lang po ako sa loob saglit"
"Nako ma'am yung may mga boarding pass lang po pwede lumagpas dito"
My heart was beating so hard para na akong mahihimatay. I couldn't breathe.
I ran straight to one of the counters.
"Miss, ano pong pinakamaagang available nyo na flight? Pa book po ako kahit saan."
Kailangan ko lang ng boarding pass para maka punta ng gates. I'm sure andon sina Jema.
Nabigla naman ang babae sa hitsura ko.
"Ahhh...ano... wait lang po ma'am check ko po"
Every second counts at this point. I nervously tapped my foot as the lady typed something on her computer.
"Mamayang madaling araw po ma'am"
Gumuho na yung mundo ka sa sinabi nya na yon. Kanina pa ako tumawatag kay Jema pero di rin sya sumasagot.
"Book ko po ba kayo ng 2:00 AM ma'am?"
Tumingin lang ako sa babae habang tumutulo na yung luha ko.
"Wag na po...salamat" I answered defeatedly.
I lost.
I fucking lost.
They're probably already boarding the plane right now.
I kept imagining Jema in Lexie's arms habang naka harap sila sa altar.
Lexie putting a ring on Jema's finger.
Them buying a new house and moving in with their dogs and perfect kids.
Lexie kissing Jema as she gets home from work.
Them going to bed together and...and doing....oh god please no.
FUCK!

I am going to regret this day for the rest of my life.
