Mycroft Holmes - What you want

Shuffling into the living room of your flat, you nearly jumped out of your skin. Hand reaching up to your chest, you placed it over your heart and heaved for air.

"Mycroft..." you gasped, "why didn't you tell me you were coming?"

"Because you've been avoiding me, my dear."

A guilty looking flashed over your face, you had been avoiding him.

Mycroft stood, walking over he took your hands in his and stared you down.

"Want to tell me what's bothering you?"

Giving Mycroft a strained smile, you shook your head and brushed past him, pulling your hands free.

"I'm fine Myc, really."

Shuffling into the kitchen, you begun to make yourself a drink.

Mycroft leant againsnt the kitchen doorframe, arms crossed his chest, his brows furrowed a little in worry.

"Love please, I can see there's something wrong. Tell me what it is."

You faltered a little by said nothing, and that's when Mycroft has enough. He walked over, taking your hand in his, he tugged you around and hugged you softly, holding your head to his chest.

"Stop holding it in, I'm here." He whispered in your ear.

You skimmed in defeat, hands balling into the fabric of his blazer as you buried your face further into his chest.

"I'm tired Mycroft..." you murmured, "I've tried but I can't keep being this strong..."

Kissing the top of your head, Mycroft ran his hand along your hair.

"You don't have to be, I'm here to help."

"Just... hold me..."

"If that's what you want, my dear."

And that's what he did, Mycroft held you. Standing there in the middle of the kitchen with his arms around you while you just stood there.

Neither one of you said a word, this was about you, and if you didn't want to talk yet Mycroft wouldn't make you.

He wound stand here all year if that's what would make you feel a little better
