"I CAN'T BELIEVE I ACCEPTED...", Y/n grumbled as she made her way to the "S".

Mr. Oka had managed to convince her. How? Using her empathy towards him.
He was so worried about Reki that he had asked her the favor of going to see for herself that he wasn't doing something stupid.
He too knew that, when skating was involved, the red-headed boy completely lost his rational side.

But that wasn't her only reason to go there.
Even though she had over time agreed to hate skateboarding, she knew in her heart that that feeling of excitement as she pretended to fly would never experience it again in any other sport.
Y/n hated herself, she couldn't forgive herself for ruining the life of her old best friend and therefore she decided to punish herself by making an effort to hate skateboarding.

After all, it was her fault that she had been abandoned. It was her fault for everything, it always had been.

Of course, she didn't blame Reki, but seeing him so passionate had brought to the surface the remorse she had hidden deep in her heart. She had to try not to make her past sins weigh on others, especially on the skateboarding fanatic, so she wanted to apologize.
She was, therefore, determined to be friends with him because, despite everything, he was a good guy and she didn't like fighting with him.
They were going to work together for a while longer, so she couldn't carry on with that heavy air every time she walked into the "Dope Sketch".

As soon as she got to the mine, she looked for Reki's red hair, but she didn't see him anywhere.

"Where did he go?", she asked to no one in particular.
She did it often, even though she seemed crazy.

After wandering for some time, she managed to spot out Langa's blue hair, which she approached.
There was a small crowd around him and it intrigued her, "What's going on?", she wondered out loud, being ignored by anyone anyway.
She stood on her toes to get a better look, but not being tall enough she soon gave up, so she snorted and tried to infiltrate between the people in front of her, getting a few nudges back.

"It's about to begin! Finally, we will see Snow against the young premise of Japan!", exclaimed a boy next to her and Y/n heard him, picking up her pace accordingly.

She hoped that Reki or Langa wouldn't bet something stupid, Mr. Oka had told her about the absurd promises that skaters made.
For example, he had told her about Shadow burning Reki's skateboard in front of his eyes.
"He must have been really sure of winning to get his favorite board in the way.", she thought at the time.

Once past the crowd, Y/n found herself in the middle of the scene between Chinen, Langa, and Reki.
The three looked at her in astonishment and she scratched her head in embarrassment.
