"I DIDN'T THINK you'd be the type to get dizzy because of the hot weather. I gotta admit that's kinda cute.", Y/n said, waving an uchiwa fan towards Langa, all while Miya and Reki copied her. She immediately run away to buy them when she saw her canadian friend disappear under the water as his lonely swim ring alerted everyone around.
After a while, Miya decided to play with his nintendo switch while eating an ice cream, followed by the others as the group was getting kinda hungry.
Y/n started to drink her slush silently, chilling on a beach lounger and, after a while, her eyes started to close slowly. As the girl started to drift off to sleep, she felt something on her belly. It was so cold that she immediately jumped in surprise, realizing that Reki just pranked her, throwing some of his own slush at her.
She rolled her eyes, "Oh, c'mon Reki! Really? Fuck off!", she screamed, her laugh gave away it was just a joke. The boy giggled, "Sorry, just wanted to see you laugh.", he approached her and then sat next to her, "Can I talk to you for a moment?". Y/n nodded, the left corner of her mouth lifted up, "Of course, what's the matter?", she asked back. As the redhaired's beautiful amber eyes drifted away, she tilted her head in anticipation. "Well, first of all... Are you really going on that date with the girl from this morning?", he asked, his eyes looking down onto his own lap.
Y/n giggled, "Oh my god... Reki's jelly!", she teased him and the boy immediately squirmed in embarrassment, "Shut up, that's not true! I just... You know, wanted to spend more time with you.". The girl immediately felt butterflies in her stomach, "And we're going to do just that because, well, she ditched me for someone else.", she replied, scratching her nape. "OH.", Reki looked at her with a surprised expression as Y/n simply commented with a "Yeah.". He couldn't believe someone could ditch a gorgeous person like you, nor that that girl could find anyone else more attractive than you.
"Anyway, that's not what I wanted to say...", Reki simply changed the subject of the conversation, blushing a little and making you feel a bit curious, "Then what is it?".
His eyes suddenly connected with hers, staring deeply as if they were talking on their own, "I didn't said this to you yet, but... I really wanted to, y'know, make sure you're aware that your bikini looks wonderful on you. You're just... WOW.", he laughed nervously, sweating a little bit both because he felt flustered and because of the hot weather.
Y/n felt her face steam in embarrassment, but she tried to cover it by turning her face forward, while pretending to be focusing on the ocean. As she bit her lip, trying to suppress a smile, she thought of what to say back. She figured it would be the right moment to be honest with him, "Thank you. You know, this is kinda embarrassing to admit because... I'm always acting like the tough one and all. But today, I was feeling insecure, a little more than usual. I was just worried that you wouldn't want to talk to me anymore if you saw me looking like this. I mean, you're perfect in every single way while I'm... Well, me.".
