Y/N WAS SLEEPING when Mr. Oka called her early in the morning to warn her that he would cover her shift. It was odd since he was supposed to replace her and Reki in the afternoon while they'd go to the movies together.
Eventually, she had accepted and, during all the weekend, she looked forward to spend some time with him.

Immediately a bad feeling made its way into her stomach, turning it upside down when she heard the low voice of her boss on the phone. It was as if he was struggling to find the right words to say something important to her.

Her doubts were cleared up by his following words, "Reki is currently being taken to the hospital. Call Langa for details, I'll give you his number.", he informed her.
Her blood froze in her veins as she realized what he just said and she made herself presentable in a hurry, getting ready to leave instantly.

Her feet automatically moved to reach the two of them as quickly as possible in the hospital building.
"Why is Reki in the hospital? Is he okay?", she had asked Langa on the phone, but he only replied with "We don't know, for now, the doctor hasn't told us anything.", completely omitting the reason for his hospitalization.

With each step, her heartbeat quickened, expecting the worst. This was not how it was supposed to go.
A few hours later they were supposed to have fun together at the cinema. He, on the other hand, was now in hospital and nothing was known about his condition.
Y/n bit her lip to prevent herself from bursting into tears, it was too much to digest in one go.

Once in front of the hospital, she took a deep breath before entering. She had to calm down and build up courage. Surely Reki was fine and nothing serious had happened.

The girl made her way through the hallways of the facility, hastily climbing the stairs rather than using the elevator, as she could hear her heartbeat thumping loudly in her eardrums.
"Langa!", she called him as soon as she glimpsed his blue hair, earning a worried and sad look from him.

The boy felt frustrated and terribly guilty. It was his fault that Reki got hurt and there was nothing he could do to fix the situation. Maybe if he insisted more on letting the match go, he'd be fine now.
The Canadian forced a smile, but his eyes refused to meet the girl's confused ones, "Hi, Y/n.", he greeted her faintly.

The girl grabbed his shoulders, starting to shake him to get his attention, "What happened?!", she bursted out in a shaky tone.
Langa couldn't answer so he just shook his head, "I can't tell you.", he whispered, making her more irritated, "What do you mean you can't?!", her voice became higher.
"Your best friend is in there and you can't tell me why? Langa, if this is a joke stop it now because I swear that-", before the girl could continue to verbally attack him, Miya interjected, "Y/n, that's enough.".
