SHE DIDN'T KNOW HOW she ended up in that situation, but since Langa had beaten Miya Chinen, the little boy hadn't fallen off her back.
He silently followed her everywhere, and when her gaze met his, he averted it elsewhere. Maybe he admired her because of how she always bickered with Reki.

"Miya, I see that you have bonded a lot with Y/n.", the said boy teased them, approaching the two.
The red-haired had discovered that he loved to tease them, even though Miya's sharp tongue often ended up offending him.
The girl snorted embarrassed and put some skateboards on the shelves.

She felt like a young mother and she didn't like the feeling at all.

"Shut up, you stupid slime! She's not as clueless as you are.", Miya replied, a little pout forming on his lips.
Langa added to the conversation, "I've been wondering for a while, why do you keep following her?", his curious eyes scanned the tiny figure of the boy as if trying to decipher his mind.
The girl smiled, noting that Miya had blushed slightly.

She understood what he was like and she had to admit that his insecure and aggressive way of expressing his emotions reminded her so much of herself.
They looked alike in many ways, although neither of them would ever say it out loud.
In addition, she found his presence pleasant, albeit silent, in her eyes he looked so much like a cat.

"I'm not following her! I'm making sure you two idiots don't bother her. Besides, we decided that with the bet...", Miya muttered, crossing his arms across his chest.

"Thank you very much, Miya, you are the best.", Y/n answered sarcastically, pretending to cry.
Her hand ruffled his hair slightly and the boy looked away, slapping her hand lightly, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
He seemed to enjoy to be spoiled by the girl, but that was something that he treasured in the deepest corners of his mind. No one had to know it of course.

Reki rolled his eyes, somehow the boy's constant presence irritated him.
He still hadn't been able to have a private conversation with the girl since she became his friend.

He wasn't sure why he was so bothered by their friendship.
Maybe it was the way the young woman had opened up to the boy almost immediately or the way she had begun to smile more often in his presence.
He wanted to get close to her, he was still curious to know more about her hatred for skateboarding, but he never found a way to approach her.

"Stop scowling old bag, just because I'm your cat doesn't mean we're friends now.", he barked at her and she giggled.
"Old bag" had become her nickname by now and it didn't bother her at all since Miya didn't really mean it.
Or at least, she wanted to think so.

"Miya, if it bothers you so much to follow her everywhere you can stop doing it. There is no need to respect the bet, the challenge is over now.", suggested Reki with a smile.
The ravenette gave him two startled eyes, but then quickly composed himself.
