"REKI!", LANGA CALLED HIM, and he quickly raised his head. He gave him a confused expression, tilting his head to the side.
"This is the fifth time I've tried to call you. What is going on with you today? You look thoughtful.", his friend's worried eyes noticed his cheeks blushing with embarrassment. Reki couldn't possibly tell him what he had been thinking all day.
The redhead uncovered his bento, then glared at the food. He did not feel hungry at all, and it was decidedly strange for him not to be, given his particular appetite.
Langa on the other hand had already devoured his sandwich and was sitting next to him. From the roof of the school, they could see a large part of the city and there was never anyone there, so even if access was forbidden to students, they were there every time for lunch.
"Langa, how can I get to know a girl better?", the redhead asked him, his gaze immediately fell to the ground. His chopsticks meanwhile played with some rice balls that his mother had prepared for him.
The Canadian looked at him confused, "What do you mean? You're the extrovert of the two.", he replied, giving him his laugh, "And, well... Have you ever even seen me with a girl?". "The fact is... I don't know, when I'm with her I don't feel like myself anymore. It's like my brain suddenly goes out.", Reki continued, eating a piece of a cutlet.
The bluenette nodded and innocently asked him, "Are you talking about Y/n?". The boy's face turned the same color of his hair as he nearly choked on the food he was swallowing.
Langa raised an eyebrow, patting him on the back to help him, "You know, I noticed how you look at her recently. Your eyes sparkle when she's at work too. In a way, I'm happy to see you like that, even though I don't quite understand what it means.", he continued, smiling.
Those words made Reki really happy. Knowing that his friend considered him so important and longed for his happiness comforted him.
"Who knows if she also has someone who considers her this way...", the red-haired wondered, his thoughts coming back to Y/n.
"Anyway, I thought that to get to know her better you could do the things the two of us do together. For example, you could watch a movie.", suggested the bluenette and an unsure expression formed on the boy's face, "I don't know if it will work. Heck, I'm not even sure I'll be able to ask her.".
Langa smiled a little, patting the redhead lightly on the shoulder to comfort him, "Take your time, there's no rush. At the end of the day, everything will turn out for the best.". Reki smiled, albeit bitterly, "Thank you very much for your help, you are the best friend in the whole wide world.", he said, then offered him his fist and the bluehead smiled at him, bumping it slightly.
