Chapter 13

"I think Zoe should be with me, because I had been taking care of her like my daughter for almost 3 months and than all of a sudden a bunch of police officers come into my work saying her family has claimed her, there are several things wrong with that one, she is a person you don't get to claim her and two, I wasn't told by anyone that after I signed the adoption papers, until Zoe got my last name her biological family could still take her away, thank you" Sebastian sat back down,
"Would anyone else in relation to the child like to speak?" No one moved "alright, I will see you all back her tomorrow at 9 to close this case for good" The judge hit his gavel on the table and everyone got up, when Zoe saw Sebastian and his friends walking over to her she panicked and grabbed Teresa's hand and pulled her out of the Courtroom and into the car,
"Are you okay honey?" Teresa asked when they made it into the car,
"Seb was walking over to me and I just can't talk to him yet"
"That's quite alright sweetie,"
"I have a question"
"What is it?"
"Do you think we could go and read at the library together?"
"Of course" Zoe smiled, everyone else got in the car and drove off, and finished the day like any other.
