Chapter 14

"Do you think I'm doing the right thing?" Sebastian asked Robert,
"Of course, why are you thinking otherwise?"
"Because when I tried to go up to Zoe, she ran out the door"
"She just might be scared" Robert offered,
"I don't think she trusts me anymore, I don't even think she loves me"
"Of course she loves you, you are her father,"
"No her father is dead, I am not her father"
"But you will be, now stop worrying we are all going out to eat, do you want to join us?"
"Ya, ya I'll join you guys, it will help me clear my mind" Robert put his arm around Sebastian and walked off to join the others.
The next day Zoe was sitting in the courtroom waiting for it to start,
"Alright," the judge said, "today is the last day until we close this case, Mr.Hiddleston you have requested to speak so please come up" Tom walked up and cleared his throat,
"When Sebastian first brought Zoe to set she was this shy little girl who sat in the corner, and she wanted nothing more than to be held and feel safe, and if you were one of the luckiest people in the world, you got the chance to hold her, she would rest her head in the crook of your neck and hug you tight, does she do that for any of you?"
"Thank you Mr.Hiddleston, would anyone else like to speak before we move sides?"
"I would" Chris (Evans) said
"Come on up, Mr.Evans" Chris walked up and began to talk,
"Sebastian came to set one day and him, Robert, and I started talking about the Watts family and how Zoe's parents had died, Sebastian looked up at us disgusted and asked if we knew they had a daughter, after a few more ecstanged words he walked away, the next time we saw him he had walked into set with little Zoe, she was a ray of sunshine and I instantly knew how happy she made Sebastian and how happy he made her, so please don't take them away from each other" Chris sat down and the judge spoke again,
"Thank you Mr.Evans, Ms or Mr, Watts would any of you like to say anything?"
"I would" Teresa said,
"Go ahead"
"I'm Teresa, when Zoe first walked in the doors to the house she was a shy little girl but when I brought up maze runner and I asked if she liked the books or movies more, she quickly replied with books, because she liked to see the detail authors put and she likes to compare them to how they brought it to life on screen,"
"I'm sorry but what does this have to do with the case?" The judge asked,
"Everything, I remember word for word what Zoe told me about why she likes the books more than the movies, because I listen, so Mr.Stan, tell me, what is her birthday? What is her favorite color? Why does she like reading so much? Can you answer any of those questions?"
"No" Sebastian replied quietly,
"And if you don't know the small things, how can he be fit to take care of a child?"
"Thank you Ms.Watts, and finally I would like to hear from Zoe" Zoe looked up shocked,
"I thought because I wasn't 10 I couldn't make the choice"
"You can't but I never take one of these cases without input from the child"
"Alright" Zoe slowly got up and walked to the front of the room, "what am I supposed to say?"
"Just pros and cons for both sides"
