Summer of 2012 (CVS # 1)

First day

After my brother introduced me to his friends, Pauline texted me to go to the mansion so I went there to hang out with her. I went straight to her room and Pauline started to talk about school.

"Come on, Ave! Just convince Mommy that you'll walk with me araw-araw, please. Parang hindi naman tayo mag pinsan!" Pauline pleaded.

Gusto niyang kumbinsihin ko si Tita na isabay ko na lang siya papasok at pauwi galing paaralan. Walking distance lang naman ang school pero lagi siyang hinahatid ng kanilang driver. I was thinking about bringing our motor, but it's not really necessary. I looked at Pauline who was using her puppy eyes to fool me.

"Alright, but promise me you won't get us into any trouble. I'm warning you." I answered.

Pauline has a lot of friends. I know her ass has been getting into some shit even before I transferred here. She's been convincing her friends to cut classes and hang out after school. Base sa mga kwento niya, siya lagi ang nag-aaya so I hope her friends are a good influence on her. I've never met all of them. But honestly, I'd do the same thing if they're really fun to be with.. Basta walang bisyo.

I texted ate Alena that I'll eat dinner at the mansion. I easily convinced Tita about walking to school with Pauline. She thanked me after the meal. Kuya went there to fetch me.

It's finally Monday, the first day of school at TVS. I'm quite nervous to be honest. I don't know anyone else besides my friends and Hera. I went to fetch Pauline at the mansion so we could walk together, but she was still in the bathroom. I told her to hurry up or else we'll be late on the first day.

Nang makarating kami sa school, pinigil kami ng guard at pinatayo sa gilid ng gate. Great! First day of school and we're late. I glared at Pauline and she just gave me a peace sign. 

Buti na lang ay flag ceremony kaya hindi pansin na pinatayo lang kami doon ng guard. We looked like we were polite enough to stop and sing the national anthem. Other students were looking at us. Maybe because I'm a new student and Pauline's popular?

After the flag ceremony, we went to look for our respective classrooms. Unfortunately, we're not classmates so she just introduced me to her friends and asked if they could guide me. Although I can manage alone, I don't mind getting help from someone who knows the school. 

Ni hindi ko nga alam kung nasaan ang bathroom dito. Gymnasium pa lang ang nakikita ko dahil dito ginaganap ang flag ceremony, mayroon ding basketball rings at nakita ko na rin ang canteen.

ABM ang pinili kong strand dahil interesado ako sa business namin. ABM din ang pinili ng mga magulang ni Pauline para sa kanya pero sa ibang klase siya. She agreed with her parents because Arts and Design isn't available in our school. Ayaw din mapalayo nila Tita si Pauline kung sa ibang paaralan pa siya mag-aaral.

I told her it's fine because we have a lot of time ahead of us. Medyo pinipressure ko rin siya tungkol sa pangarap niya dahil ayaw ko rin namang pangunahan siya nila Tita sa pangarap niya. Hehe.

Keith is also my classmate. Pauline's two closest friends, Hera and Liv, were in the same class with me. Good thing Pauline and Jairo are classmates. I asked him to look out for her too and of course, she doesn't know. 

Agad din akong naging komportable kasama si Liv. Madaldal din siya katulad ng pinsan ko. Si Hera naman ay tahimik lang pero nakikipag-usap din naman sa amin.

Our first two classes in the morning ended easily. I went out of the classroom with Liv and Hera to meet Pauline at the canteen. She was there with her other friends and introduced me to them.
