Chapter 14

“Woah. So, you’re now living with the father of your child?” usiserang tanong ni Jana matapos kong magkwento sa kanya. “What’s his name again?”

“Klein. Klein Olsen.”

“That name rings a bell, huh?”

“What should I do?”

“Then stay with him. He was the one who insisted that and I guess that’s better para naman may kasama ka habang lumalaki ‘yang bata sa sinapupunan mo. It’s also his responsibility to take care of you and the baby. Ano bang problema mo ro’n?” she asked back as if my problem was that simple.

Napabuntong hininga na lang ako. What she said may be right, but it’s hard on my part. Awkward to be specific. I do not know him at all, yet he wants me to stay with him. I know he’s just doing this because of the child.

“Or don’t you like the thought that he’s just letting you stay with him because of the child?”

“Oh, shut up, please!” my face grimaced but she just laughed at me.

My brows almost turned one line when I noticed her eating a lot.

“Are you pregnant?” I curiously asked but she just glared at me.

“How I wish, but Ellie’s not a sharpshooter, so I am not yet pregnant,” sarkasmo nitong saad saka siya napakibit balikat.

Kulang na lang ay itulak ko siya. How can she talk so straightforward like that? Can’t she at least keep it herself? Gosh, this girl is something.

“Olsen Tower? Darn! Sabi na, e. That guy’s name really rings a bell!” kumento ni Jana nang maihatid ako nito sa harap ng Olsen Tower. “This building is the biggest tower here, don’t you know that? Gosh! You just hit the jackpot, girl.

I heard her coming out of her car and even heard her calling my name, but I didn’t bother to stop from walking to face her. When I entered the elevator, I just messaged her to go home.

I thought it’s Jana but Auntie Sol’s name popped as the caller. Good thing I taught her how to use a phone.

I just told her to live comfortably in the condo while I’m gone and to wait for me until I got home. Maybe I’ll talk to Klein first so I should know what will I do.

Klein turned on the television then he sat beside me, holding the remote in his right hand. “Why don’t you call her here?”
