You were lying on your bed scrolling down on Tumblr, when your phone started ringing. “(Y/n)” you said after picking it up. “Hey uhm… I was just wondering if you were up for movie marathon tonight?” your best friend CC said in the phone. “Of course” you answered and smiled for yourself. After being CC best friend for so long you had started to develop a smaller crush on him, but there was no way he would like you back, at least not if he knew your secret. “I’ll be over in 10” he said and hung up. With a sigh you hide your tail in your sweat pans. It was so difficult to have a tail while pretending to be normal. Not to mention the ears. You pulled your hood up and looked at yourself in the mirror. “Just a normal girl…” you said and shook your head. You started making popcorn and finding other snacks. Soon you heard the door open, and CC came in. “Hey, home alone?” he asked, and you nodded. You took out the popcorn and turned on the TV. CC found a movie and started it.

You leaned against each other in the couch, eating popcorn and commenting the movie. “(Y/n)?” CC suddenly asked. “What?” you said without looking away from the screen. “I’ve known you for a long time now, and every day you have been wearing a hood, a beanie, a cap, a hat, or something else to cover your head. Why?” he asked, and you looked up at him. “Uhm… I have something with my head…” you muttered. CC shook his head, “I don’t believe you, you are not ill, because then you would have told me. What is it?” he said. Your heart was racing, as you desperately tried to find an excuse. You shook your head; you couldn’t lie to him any longer. 

“CC, promise me something. When I take of my hoodie, don’t get scared okay?” you almost whispered, he nodded. You took of your hood and looked down. Silence. “Wow” CC mumbled. You felt a big, warm hand carefully petting your ears. Silence. Awkward silence. It was really awkward, but for some reason you didn’t want him to stop. A sound escaped your throat. CC started laughing a bit. “Are you purring (y/n)?” he asked and lifted your head, so he could look you in the eyes. You blushed and tried to focus on something else. Slowly you took your tail up from your pants. “You are really cute” CC said so fast you almost couldn’t hear it. You blushed deeply, a silly smile across your face. “I mean uhm… with the ears… not that you weren’t cute before… it’s just…” he stopped and started laughing. “I really fucked that up, didn’t I?” he said, and you nodded.

You were both silent for a moment. Neither of you looked at the movie.”(Y/n) there is actually something I have wanted to tell you for a while” CC said and stood up. Soon he returned with a glass of water. “What is it C?” you asked and looked confused at the glass. “Look” he said and closed his eyes. The water started to move, first just a little then more and more until there was a whirlpool in the glass. The water calmed down and CC opened his eyes. “Did you?” you asked in surprise, he nodded. “I guess neither of us are quite normal” you said with a little smile. “You know what, I think we’re meant to be best friends” you said and put your arm around him. He sighed. “Don’t you want to be my best friend?” you said a bit offended. “(y/n)” he said and looked over at you. “Can’t you see it? I don’t want to be your best friend.” He said without looked away. Your eyes began burning, and you looked away from him. “I want to be so much more than that” he whispered quietly. “What?” you asked confused and looked up at him. “I like you (y/n) is that so hard to understand?!” he almost yelled. “You and your perfect (y/e/c) eyes, your hot lips and that smile that makes my heart melt. I love you (y/n), everything about you, and those ears. I’ve never seen anything more adorable than that.” He said and looked down. “Sorry” he mumbled, but you leaned over to hug him. “C, I like you too” you whispered in his ear.

Quickly he pulled you down on the couch and lay down on top of you. He slowly leaned down and planted a soft kiss on your lips. “C?” you started, but then he grabbed around your shoulders and kissed you roughly, like he had been waiting for a very long time. He released you and breathed heavily. You growled playfully and played with his hair. “Be mine?” he whispered, and you nodded eagerly. He kissed you again, this time with more passion, while he petted your ear. You purred lightly, causing him to smile and pull away. “I love you” he said.
