'No!'
'Then what?!'
'If you let go of me Astrid, I'll tell you everything.'
Davilla Estate.
The cards were still being turned in the test of loyalty after De Mattel's demise. One of the men sitting across from Marcel had begun to fidget in his seat as Aya made eye contact with him and he stood up.
'I owe no allegiance to you.'
Aya wasted no time decapitating his head from his body, 'I will not tolerate anyone conspiring to use our present circumstances as an opportunity for a power grab... And you, Marcel Gerard? Do you seek to betray me for power as well?'
Marcel had no idea what the outcome was gonna be but he tried to act, smirking as he spoke, 'I'm hurt that you even have to ask.'
Mikaelson Compound.
A plan had been inacted. Madison had left the Compound with the object she needed to deliver it to where she was instructed. Astrid had told her that she'll be there to interrupt the plan.
Wanting to have a conversation with the perpetrator.
The hybrid sat on the leather sofa, still in the study. A cool breeze drifted through the room as she sat back, leaning on the arm rest with her head in her right hand and huffing.
'Something wrong?' Klaus entered the room with a smirk and his arms clasped behind him back. Astrid looked up and scowled, 'You're in a good mood.'
'Why of course I am. My wife is home, Tristan is dead and Aurora has nothing left.' He sat down next to her and opened his arms up, the woman gladly accepted and leant into him, throwing her right leg over his as her right arm wrapped around his torso.
'You're going to kill me.' She mumbled and he grew concerned, 'Why would I want to kill you?'
'Aurora wants the white oak.'
She felt Nik stiffen underneath her as he grew angsty, 'Why would I want to kill you for what Aurora wants?..'
'A witch turned up.' She sat up and looked at him, 'A young girl named Madison. She went missing when she was a girl.' She looked away from him, 'Turns out.. she was taken by the Strix.'
Nik sat up properly as his wife carried on.
'She turned up here looking for the white horse you made for Rebekah when we were children.. the one you carved out of white oak.' Astrid eyed Nik for a reaction that he was denying her. The coldness of the room suddenly engulfed her as her feet froze on the icy wood.
'You let her take it.'
The lack of energy in his voice scared her considering their dynamic lately. Usually with Niklaus there was always a time in his voice wether it was sarcasm or joy but it was as if something was ticking over in his blue eyes, 'You let her take it, didn't you?'
The hybrid pursed her paled lips before nodding and looking away only for the ice to thaw with a singular touch as his hand took hers, 'You want a stab at Aurora? To finish off the siblings once and for all?'
'She's a threat to my city and to my family.' Astrid admitted, 'She needs to be eliminated and I spent so bloody long being angry at Camille I forgot who my real enemy should be.'
