The air was cold. A brisk chill that shot through Astrid as if she'd been impaled by an icicle. The harshness shook her awake.

'What the hell did you do to her?'

The hybrid frowned when the feminine voice spoke up, not being sure of it's owner due to the black cloth wrapped around her eyes. 'Quiet, wolf.' Tristan spoke venom and it made the hybrid fidget, De Martel caught on immediately.

'Good evening, Astrid.'

'Get this bloody blindfold off me Tristan.' She spat and he smiled, 'You've got just as much flare as your sister. I'm beginning to see the resemblance.'

The cloth fell from her eyes and she made eye contact with the brunette across from her. She was bloodied, a busted nose that was slowly healing and wearing all black.

The clothes she was dressed in for her funeral.

Her hands were bound behind her back and she was strewn across a flimsy wooden chair. 'Oh my sister.' She hummed, clearly not affected by the current circumstances and in a tone Astrid wasn't sure if she liked. Her sister sounded different.

More like her.

Mikaelson Compound.

Both brothers awoke and jumped up instantly, wide eyed and frankly terrified. 'We need to go after her.' Klaus instantly went for the gates but Elijah pulled him back, 'Wait.' He ordered his brother but Nik wasn't interested, pulling away and the eldest brother attempted again.

'I will not have a repeat of 1919!' Klaus snapped and Elijah almost jumped back, 'Brother they may have taken Sebastian's body.'

'Then find it. Im going to my wife.'

The youngest Malraux sister was planning her next move. She'd been taken to some sort of pool room, a large body of water sat in the middle surrounded by grey bricks that looked like they'd been there almost too long. Large pillars were either side of the platform that the elder sister was on, small windows shone on the wolf's back and shadowed her face as she looked at Astrid.

'You almost sound like you pity her, Deryn.' Tristan chuckled, looking between the sisters either side of the pool. 'Oh I do Tristan. I truly do.' Deryn seemed hysterical. Her hair seemed wild and frazzled, unlike the defined curls she had before.

Something had driven her mad.

'I'm gonna kill you.' Astrid growled, assuming her sister's insanity was the De Martel's doing. 'You always resort to violence sister... perhaps that's what led to my demise.' Deryn spat as she writhed around in the ropes that kept her bound. The hybrid turned her attention away from Tristan as she stared in utter confusion.

'I'll leave you two to it.' Tristan saw one of his men at the door and went to step away, leaving the sisters to have it out amongst themselves.

'I came here to save you.' Astrid seemed genuinely hurt. Back in the village, Elijah always spoke of Deryn's eyes as a young boy and how infatuated he was with them - a deep rich brown full of emotion but now they were vast - a Black Sea existed there now.

'How many times am I going to be dragged back from the dead to be used against you?' Deryn's chest rose and fell heavily as she tried to rip her ropes apart once more to no avail. 'Why are you acting like I asked for this?' Astrid asked, trying the same thing but the ropes were clearly spelled.

'You did ask for this!' She yelled at her and the room fell silent once more.
