Her heart almost did stop in that moment.

The sheer agony of it.

It was nothing compared to the shreds that her aunt in law forced her to choke on. That was small pin pricks in comparison to this. Astrid's ears rung as she heard Aurora chuckle lightly in the background before vamping toward the hut, clearly wanting to make it painful.

The hybrid dropped to her knees by now, gritting her teeth with such violence she feared they would shatter, simply not wanting to fall in the eyes of an enemy.

'Astrid!' Nik's voice almost echoed as he vamped to her in an instance, his sister being safe as his wife clutched her chest.

'Love. It's nearing your heart stop moving.' He attempted to not sound panicked as he tried to still her but she refused. In a haze, she plunged her own hand into her chest with a yelp as Elijah approached the scene. Klaus fell back with fear stricken eyes as the brothers watched her wriggle around inside her torso before she felt the deadly bullet and tore it out with a savage determination - blood splattering the grass beneath her.

'Astrid. It's over. Don't.'

Elijah's words were simply mumbles to her. She looked between the two, suddenly not herself. It was as if primal instinct had taken over.

Someone just tried to kill her.

She had to kill them.

Elijah reached a hand out slowly, only to met with golden eyes and fangs he'd rather not get on the other end of.

The brothers let her pass.

'What are you doing?', Elijah grabbed his brothers's shoulder as he moved toward the witch's house too,

'My wife wants to murder.' He huffed, 'I'm only completing my duties as a husband.'

...

'Aurora.'

The red head heard the booming voice of her brothers killer on the other side of the room as she felt a chill through the air.

The type that stunk of magic.

The home of Mrs Julia Brown was indeed as derelict as the hybrid imagined, having to step over many vines and fallen panels on her search. 'I can literally smell you.' She growled, 'Come out and fight me already.'

Klaus came round the outside, seeing Aurora hiding in the corner and hoping through the window. 'Hello love.' He smirked before grabbing her by the neck and throwing her through the connecting wall, into the eyes of his wife.

'Niklaus. Help me.' She begged to no use.

'You just tried to murder my wife..' He chuckled sarcastically, 'And you're begging for my help?! Surely not.' He tutted, shaking his head like a disappointed father and a smirk that could kill.

'You're evil.' She turned to Astrid, 'You murder my brothers and you still see my hatred as unjust!'

'Oh it's very justified, darling.' Planning on a neck snap, Astrid pinned her against the wall by her neck, 'I just don't feel like dying today.'

The wind was taken from the Mikaelson woman's sails once more as all three immortals were thrown back against different walls with an invisible yet immeasurable force. All three were speechless as Elijah, unaware of the situation, tended to his mortal sister.

The same ringing filled Astrid again as tears pricked in her eyes unprovoked.

Nik looked horrified as she writhed around screaming, Julie clearly wasn't letting go just yet. Taking matters into his own hands, he tried to fight against the power and slowly began to succeed, pushing himself off the wall and onto the floor before grabbing both women and vamping out, breaking Aurora's neck in the process.
