'You do realise everyone came to save you right? Elijah and Freya are in a standoff with Lucien as we speak.' Willow broke the silence in the elevator as Nik raised an eyebrow, 'What?'

'Lucien used you two in order to lure out Elijah... to fulfil the prophecy.'

'We need to find a way to kill him. Maybe I should get Davina on it.' Astrid contemplated as they moved throughout the building, 'I thought you two weren't speaking.' Klaus frowned and Astrid squinted, 'She can consider it payback for what she did to you.'

Heaving the redhead over her shoulder, she contemplated what to do next.

Mikaelson Compound.

'Elijah!' Astrid ran to him upon their arrival back to the Compound, checking him over for bites but he held his hands up, 'I'm okay, sister.' He smiled before it faded a little quickly.

'Aurora's still out cold.' Freya came into the room and Astrid asked 'What are the chances of keeping her that way?'

'Well, my spell will keep her down. For now.' The witch seemed exhausted as she sat down next to Astrid.

...

Where r u

Astrid hadn't been messaged something so ominous before. Kol Mikaelson was in shock as he sent that text and she replied simply.

Compound. Why?

Her reply was blunt, she didn't necessarily mean it but she had been calling Davina for hours to no avail.

Typing..

St. J's.

Astrid stood up confused with a grimace that everyone noticed. 'You alright?' Nik sat up too and she mumbled, 'I'll be back soon.'

Out of reflex, she kissed Nik's forehead before walking out and Elijah chuckled at how flustered he became.

St. James Infirmary.

Astrid of course had heard of Kol's magical affliction but she didn't know it would be this bad. St. James infirmary was quiet that evening, yet all the lights were still on. She almost felt the need to creep in, being thankful she had changed out of her leather so her clothes weren't so squeaky.

Upon arriving in the doorway, she saw Kol hunched over a body and her eyes grew wide. 'Kol.. what did you do?'

'The Ancestors had a hold of me. I-I was out of my head. I never would've hurt her.I tried to make it stop.' He spoke in broken tears, 'I made her dagger me.'

As he looked up, Astrid saw the owner of the corpse on the floor. Davina Claire laid limp in the arms of her Mikaelson lover. It was as if the wind had been knocked from her lungs as she stood there in complete shock.

'Astrid. I'm sorry.' Kol wailed as he tucked himself back into his girlfriend's chest, the bite marks in her neck prominent as ever now as Astrid realised what had unfolded that fateful day.

The Ancestors needed Kol to kill Davina.

A revenge plot.

The hybrid found herself next to her brother in law in an instant, taking Davina's hand and composing herself, trying to stop the tears from falling. No matter how much 'composure' she forced herself to try and keep, she lost it. That was what the hybrid needed to stop doing, she didn't need to cry when she was angry. She needed to feel the emotion instead of keeping herself together for someone else's benefit.

The angered mother ended up kicking a hole in the bar.

'Get up.' She growled and Kol looked up confused, 'What?'

'Get up Kol! This is New Orleans! Witch spirits can be brought back from the dead, so that is exactly what we are going to do. We are going to bring her back!'
