Star Wars the Clone Wars: The Wolf Blood Knight (Fives x OC)

Vetera's POV

I was on the Twilight, doing some maintenance and upgrades on it for Anakin as a favor. But I must have been working on it longer than I thought I was because Obi-Wan came into the pilot seat.

"Obi-Wan, what's wrong?" I ask as he makes the Twilight take off and he tells me that Maul has captured Satine on Mandalore. I go to sit in the co-pilot seat, sitting into it heavily. I haven't been on Mandalore since the last time we were there and before that, not since the deaths of my parents, Denal and Adira Shan. I got my black hair from my Dad and my blue eyes from my Mom. Mom and Dad were veterans of the Mandalorian Wars, I pull out the only picture of my parents I had. It was my first birthday, my Dad was a muscular man, with stern but kind brown eyes, his hair was cut short, Mom was a mix of brunette and blonde, her hair length was the same length that mine used to be, her eyes were the same blue as mine. Both of them had their fair share of scars and were in armor, Mom was holding me while Dad had one arm wrapped around her waist and had one of his hands on my small head. Back when the times were so simple and I still had innocence and was a happy child. I had a flashback to the last day I was on Mandalore in my youth.

*flashback*

I was a young child, Mom and Dad were getting ready to go get us a ship since Mom and Dad were going to find someplace where their warrior skills can get them some honorable honest work. I was standing at the door of our home, seeing that the speeder my parents had ordered to come take them to the space port so they can find us a ship to take us to a new home once we have everything ready. I would miss Mandalore, but as long as i have my family, maybe it won't be so bad. I saw someone who I haven't seen in our section of Mandalore before, I can't make out their features because it was hidden by armor and a cloak with a hood. He was by the speeder but he left before I could say anything.

"You be a good little warrior while we're gone, Vetera." Dad says as he ruffles my hair.

"I will Dad." I promise to him and he chuckles, ruffling my hair.

"That's our girl. We'll be back soon to pack up so we can go to our new home." Mom says as she also ruffles my hair, making me smile.

"As long as I'm with you two, anywhere is home." I say to my parents, making them smile at me and ruffle my hair again. I fix my hair, before we hug each other and rest foreheads against each other, before they go to the speeder. I watch them start to leave and turn to head inside, but then...

KA-BOOOM!

I whip around to see the speeder in flames falling and my parents...not moving.

"MOM!! DAD!!" I yell as I run toward them but a Mandalorian holds me back as someone calls the authorities about what happened. I struggle, trying to get to my parents but when the medical personal and authorities get there, my parents were...gone.

That night

The speeder had been sabotaged and I clench my fists, I was devastated they were gone and angry at myself, if i had just said something Mom and Dad would still be here. Jango was telling the people gathered about my parents and how he was honored to have them as his friends. But I hear that my home was going to be made into a memorial for them, meaning that I was now without a home. I couldn't bear my emotions and the fact I now have nowhere to go, before I knew it, I was running as fast as I can out of there. I don't know where I was going, all I knew was that I had to get away from there as fast as i can. But then I was attacked and hit from behind, knocking me out. When I woke up, I was in the cage that would hold me for the next few years and where I would get my wolf form.

*end flashback*

"Vetera, *snaps out of it and looks at him* I sense a great deal of sadness in you. What is it that troubles you?" Obi-Wan asks and I sigh, before i decide to tell him.
