Reunited and Recuperation

Vetera's POV

We had dropped Ventress off and were headed to the Temple, I can't wait to see Ralim again and reassure him that I am alright. I'm very glad he got home safely. The ship lands and I limp beside Kenobi as we exit, we were discussing what happened before I see Ralim at the other side of the landing platform and our eyes met.

"Master!" he yells, beginning to run toward me.

"Excuse me, Obi-Wan." I say and he nods in understanding with a smile, motioning me to go to my Padawan, making me smile at him in gratitude before I begin to limp toward Ralim as fast as I could. We meet two thirds of the way and embrace each other.

"I am alright, my Padawan. I'm alright, just a little banged up and nothing a trip to the Halls of Healing can't fix." I reassure him as we lower onto the platform on our knees as we held onto each other.

"When they said Maul had you captive, I was worried and thought that he was going to..." Ralim says as he held on tightly to me and I reassure my Padawan.

"Thanks to Obi-Wan and surprisingly Ventress, *sees his shocked look* yeah, I can't believe it either, both Obi-Wan and I were able to come back home alive and in one piece." I say to my Padawan. He then puts on of my arms around his shoulders so he can help get to the Halls of Healing so I can get medical help.

"The men will be really happy to see you when we rejoin them." He says as we walk and I nod with a small smile. 

We soon reach the Halls of Healing and the healers take me from Ralim so they can do their work. They examine the injuries to make sure I don't need to go into the bacta tank...again. When it's shown that I do not, they begin using the Force to heal me. It felt nice, having the Force heal my wounds. The wounds were healed but I'd have the scars from the few new lightsaber wounds that Maul and Savage had inflicted on me.

"You need to rest for a week before you can go tell your battalion that you're alright." the head healer says and I nod in understanding, before Ralim says he'll make sure I get to my quarters in order to rest. The healer nods to Ralim, who helps me stand before he picks me up bridal style so that way I won't "strain myself" on the way back to my quarters but I think Ralim is being overly-cautious, but given what I unintentionally put him through, I won't say a word to him about it. He carries me to my quarters and lays me on my bed, before fluffing the pillow under my head, getting a thick warm blanket and putting it over me, before getting a stack of datapads I can read to pass the time and puts them on the nightstand next to my bed.

"I'll bring you some dinner later." he says and I nod, before settling down to get some rest after that stressful few days. I breathe the familiar scent of the Temple, knowing I was safe before I shut my eyes to rest and smile, knowing I was back with my pack and home.

A week later

I was finally able to go to my men to tell them myself that I was OK. I was headed to their barracks on Corusant, having Ralim tell them that there would be a surprise there today and Fives would be there too thanks to Ralim. I arrive at the barracks and exit the taxi, before I head inside. I inhale silently but deeply, breathing the scents of my men and smiling at all the familiar scents and smelling some new ones which meant while i was away fighting against Maul, being held captive and then spending a week recovering, my battalion had gotten some Shinnies, which means our family had grown a bit more. I hear them gathered in the main hall of the barracks and i stand outside the door, suddenly nervous before I inhale deeply and exhale, releasing my nervousness into the Force before i press the button to open the door. All chatter silences as every one of my men looks at me in surprise, shock and relief.
