The MIFT members came out and explained the situation.
"Baby? We have to take the baby out?" Mike asked.
"Just while we're doing the repairs," Val said.
"Nope. No kids allowed in Monster's Inc. or Monstropolis," Mike stated.
"If she wakes up and the parents catch us, boom! Dead door," Cutter said.
"Wait, what if Y/N and I take her out and keep her asleep--" Sulley suggested.
"No, no, no!" Mike refused.
"Come on, Mike. You know Sulley and I are really good with kids," Y/N reminded.
"Not after what happened last time with Boo. Remember?" Mike reminded then mimicked Sulley, "'Ooklay in the agbay'."
"Is he speaking French?" Tylor asked.
"I think it's Pig Latin," Jamie answered.
"Our lives almost got ruined. That won't happen again," Mike replied.
"If we can't fix it in time it'll be a dead door," Celia told them.
"I'll do it!" Mike insisted.
Sulley chuckled then asked, "You?"
"Yes, me," Mike said.
"You can't be serious, Mike," Y/N told him.
"I am. You see, guys, there's difference between you two and me," Mike stated.
"We're tall and you're short," Y/N guessed.
"No," Mike refused.
"I'm blue, she's F/C, you're green," Sulley said.
"No," Mike shook his head.
"Awesome horns. Little nubs," Y/N pointed out.
"No!" Mike objected.
"Furry, stylish, neither," Sulley said about him, Y/N, then Mike.
"No," Mike answered.
"Huggable, less huggable," Y/N replied, hugging Sulley then pointing at Mike.
"No! And stop it! Unlike you guys, I can control my feelings. I'm immune to kids' cuteness," Mike remarked.
"Oh, Googly bear," Celia sighed sadly.
The snakes on her head whimpered at that. Then they all heard Needleman and Smitty arguing about a bucket.
"Get out," Smitty ordered.
"But I just got in," Needleman said.
"But it's my turn to ride in the bucket," Smitty replied.
"If you'll excuse me," Mike said then went to them.
"Your big butt will get stuck like last time," Needleman said.
"Needleman, out," Mike told him.
Needleman groaned and obeyed.
"My bucket," Needleman complained.
"Wait. You're gonna put the baby in that bucket?" Sulley asked.
"You see a bucket. I see a thing-holder. Watch and learn," Mike remarked.
Thunder sounded as he went into the room and looked at the snoring baby.
"All right, little snoring thing. You're coming with me," Mike said, got the baby, then remarked as he came out, "All righty. Operation no wakey baby has commenced."
"All righty, everybody. We're burning moonlight. We need to get that room repaired fast!" Celia told them.
"Let's go, 418 buddies. This reminds me of that simulator project we did for the MU scare fair. The cannister blew and Slaatten's tail caught on fire," Val reminded.
"No, I don't remember. I'm sure I'd remember Slaatten on fire," Tylor pointed out.
Val demonstrated the screams then asked, "Remember him runnin' around. Hey! Remember?"
"Enough memory lane," Tylor said.
"It's go time," Cutter responded.
"Slaatten's on fire, Slaatten's on fire," Val whisper-chanted.
As thunder sounded, Tylor tried to get tape to stick, but all it did was get stuck to him.
"Let me help you with that, rookie," Cutter offered.
But they argued over what do and ended up getting tangled together.
"You guys okay?" Val asked.
She and Jamie gasped at what they saw.
"Uh...Everything's under control," Cutter answered.
"This job just got more entertaining," Jamie giggled.
"Just help us out of this," Tylor requested.
"Okay," she agreed and did so.
