The couple watched Tylor's previous auditions, making him cringe and making her hug his arm, which he appreciated a lot.
"As you can see, Mr. Tuskmon, you are a tragically unfunny monster, which is what I said out loud, right to your face the last time I saw you. But...then this happened," Ms. Flint said, changed the screen to Mini Monster Day, then asked, "See that?"
"Yeah, yeah. I'm sorry, Ms. Flint. Mini Monster Day was kind of, uh, rough for me," Tylor apologized.
"No, no! That! My daughter. She's smiling. Because of you," Ms. Flint pointed out then added, "It's the power of laughter, and you have it."
"I do?" Tylor asked.
"I told you," Jamie exclaimed happily.
"Oh, I share your disbelief. But I've crunched the numbers. Those horns combined with an uncontrolled fall resulting in debris hanging from said horns yield significant gigglewatts. The simple physics of physical comedy," Ms. Flint explained.
"What she means is, 'Kid, you're a natural'," Mike clarified.
"Well, he auditioned 15 times," Ms. Flint remarked.
"Kid, you're persistent. And we got one station left on that Laugh Floor. I need you two to fill it," Mike told them.
"You mean, Jamie and I are Jokesters?" Tylor asked, a smile forming.
"In training. You help us hit a million gigglewatts, I'd say you got a pretty good chance. And Jamie will need an audition since she wanted to wait until you got on," Mike explained.
Tylor looked at Jamie, giving her an encouraging smile, which was all she needed.
"I can do that," she nodded.
They set it up and Jamie went in. She said a lot of funny random words and made funny noises, making the kid and the other monsters laugh. She then came back out.
"Awesome job! And with no props either! Jamie Danger, you are now a Jokester in training," Mike said.
"Thanks so much!" Jamie smiled before hugging Tylor.
Then they were sent to Mr. Crummyham to get their new things.
"Internal transfer document, child hazard release, life liability waiver, I-9 form, anti-social security," Mr. Crummyham went on while giving them the stuff they needed then commented, "Boy, you two must be excited to be getting out of MIFT."
"Well, it's not official. Just, uh, in training," Jamie corrected.
"Talk about a bunch of weirdos!" Mr. Crummyham commented.
"Well, they're actually not that weird. They, uh, kind of grow on you," Tylor said.
"Wait a minute. You two still wanna be Jokesters, don't you?" Mr. Crummyham asked.
"Oh, yeah! Well, yes. Of course," Tylor answered.
"Yes. For sure," Jamie added with a nod.
"Good! Closet malfunction insurance, laffateria discount, gross salary plus over-slime," Mr. Crummyham continued.
As Mr. Crummyham talked, the couple was feeling a bit conflicted about the whole thing.
