Chapter 31: An Accident

Tylor and Jamie stayed in the closet, trying to stay quiet. But they couldn't help but blush at how close they were to each other. Their faces were literally centimeters apart.

"You gotta love the timing of these things," she whispered jokingly.

He chuckled and said, "True."

"When was the last time we were this close?" Jamie asked.

"I'm not sure. But I don't recall us hiding in a closet from human parents," Tylor told her.

She couldn't help but giggle a bit at that. They then locked eyes with smiles then started leaning toward each other until the parents entered the room.

"I know I heard something," the woman pointed out.

The parents then went inside and Tylor and Jamie watched what would happen, basically getting cheek to cheek.

"Sweetheart, you okay?" the woman asked.

"I'm fine," Duncan answered from the bed.

The woman gasped as Jamie tried to contain her laughter and Tylor chuckled lowly.

"Uh, just very sleepy. Thank you, parent. Good night," Duncan continued then did a kiss.

"Her first words," the woman said in happiness.

"Wow!" the man exclaimed.

"Did you hear that? Her first words!" the woman continued.

"And complete sentences, too," the man added.

"She's gonna be a genius," the woman squealed.

"Yes!" the man nodded.

"I gotta call Mom," the woman said.

"We are such great parents. I told you, co-sleeping with her the first year would make her smart. Dad of the year. Right here," the man commented.

Tylor and Jamie sighed in relief at that. But when they turned to each other, their lips touched for a few seconds before looking at each other in shock. But they soon shook their heads and opened the closet door.

"Hey. You guys good?" Tylor whispered with clothes hanging on his horns.

"Love your fashion choice, Ty," Jamie commented.

He rolled his eyes as he took them off.
