The two weeks went by quickly.

"All right, kiddos, it's been two weeks. What do you got?" Cutter asked when she walked in.

"I got nothin'," Duncan, Tylor, and Jamie all said.

"Well, here goes nothin'," Cutter told them.

She reactivated the door and the first one to come out was Argus, who was sunburnt except for around his eye where his glass would be.

"That was, without a doubt...the best vacation of my life! Wow!" Argus declared.

"I believe it, Argus. 'Cause you really needed to unwind. You're very wound," Fritz told him, coming up behind him.

"So, uh, you're doing okay?" Jamie asked.

"I'm more than okay. Sipping creepy coladas, napping beneath the palms, cha-chaing the night away," Argus answered then sang, "Cha-cha-cha-cha..."

Then the three monsters in charge came in.

"Argus? You're still here?" Sulley asked.

"Yeah, I thought you left two weeks ago," Mike said.

"Oh, no. I took a little time off. I have your MIFT crew to thank," Argus told them.

"Really?" Y/N wondered.

"You are welcome. And that is the last we will speak of it," Tylor said.

"Well, of course, I will be writing all of you up, but just a warning this time. Goodbye, Mr. and Mrs. Laugh Energy," Argus said then sang as he left, "Cha-cha-cha-cha-uh-uh..."

Sulley sighed in relief then replied, "That was too close. We were nearly shut down."

"You caused a major power outage, conspired to cover it up, and if that weren't enough, attempted to bribe a M.E.R.C. official," Mike said angrily.

"Mike, that last part was you," Y/N reminded.

"Stay on point, guys, stay on point," Mike whispered.

"Is all this true? Duncan?" Fritz asked.

Duncan sighed then answered, "Yes, sir."

"Oh, this is all my fault. I tipped the wheel so that Duncan could be temporary supervisor," Val confessed.

"Well, regardless of how he became temporary supervisor, it all happened on your watch, Duncan," Mike replied.

"And it clearly says whoever the supervisor is at the time of an incident, immediate action must be taken," Y/N added.

"And any of these accusations is grounds for dismissal," Sulley finished.

"Dismissal?" Duncan asked then said in sorrow, "Um...Temporary supervisor's, uh...Well, he's gotta go down with his temporary ship...I guess. So, uh, Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan, Mr. Wazowski..."

"I'm sorry, I...I'm the one that caused the outage, okay? Duncan, he was just trying to be a good supervisor. So if anyone deserves to be dismissed, it's me. The truth is..." Tylor explained.

"Yeah, well...No, no, no. The power outage and, you know, all the other stuff, that was my fault, too. Though I am significantly less at fault than him," Duncan added.

Fritz smiled at the both of them.

"Hmm. I am so proud of you two. Not only have you displayed that get-along, MIFTer spirit, you've shown that you're willing to sacrifice one another," Fritz told them, putting his arms around them.

"'Sacrifice for one another'?" Tylor and Duncan asked.

"That, too. So, Mr. W, Mr. and Mrs. S, what do you say we forget all the dismissal jumbo-mumbo-bumbo-bimble?" Fritz asked.

The three monsters looked at each other before silently deciding.

"Well, seeing that it was Duncan's first time, we can overlook that," Y/N told them, making the MIFT members cheer, then she gently warned, "But like Argus said, consider this a warning. If there's a next time, it could end in dismissal."

"There won't be a next time. I promise you," Duncan promised.

"Speaking of dismissal mumbo jumbo, what about that 'against company policy' vacation door?" Sulley asked, leaning against the wall.

"Taken care of, Sulley. I'm having it shredded," Mike assured.

"Mr. Wazowski, we're here to take the vacation door to your office," Needleman said as he and Smitty came in.

"Our office?" Sulley and Y/N questioned.

Mike chuckled nervously at that.
