i was sitting in the cafe, as always waiting for adam to join me so that we can go to class. i was casually drinking my caramel cream frappuccino and scrolling through my social media. suddenly the chair in front of me got occupied by the least expected person.

angela.

she sat in front of me. ''i am so sorry'' she spoke out as she pushed her long twirling colored hair back. her makeup gimmered when sun rays fell upon her face. ''its ok?'' i managed to say as i was confused. '' i mean i agree we went overboard by doing that. i hope you will let it slide this time'' she said again and gave a minor sorry smile. ''i mean as long as it doesn't repeat again. its fine'' i spoke and smiled at her. ''thank you. all the guilt was eating me up. i wasn't able to sleep either. and i hated the fact that my dad was hurt by me'' she let out with a saddened tone but a loyal attitude. i smiled at her. ''well i guess the air is clear now. are you coming to the fair tonight?'' she asked me with so much excitement.

''fair? i don't know about that.'' i told her being clueless. i didn't even know that there was a carnival. ''its okay. you can join us. it'll be fun.'' she requested. i really want to go to the carnival but with angela and them...i don't know. ''um.. hi angela'' just before i could speak or think anymore adam's voice stole the attention from us.

we both turned our faces to him. he had a dumbfounded expression plastered upon his face. i was confused a few minutes ago too so i won't blame him.

''hey adam. i guess i will leave. think about the fair and tell me'' angela picked up her bag and left the cafe while swaying her hips when walking. ''what was that?'' adam unleashed being amazed and took the seat which was earlier occupied by angela. ''well she decided to apologize and asked me to join her to the carnival. i really want to go. come with me'' i asked him in a pleading tone. i mean if i cant go with angela i can with adam. he looked at me with furrowed eyebrows. ''what are you? five or something?'' he chatted and a chuckle followed. ''please it will be fun'' i requested again and he nodded a no. ''forget all that let's go to class now'' he spoke and i sadly sighed. we both picked up our stuff and headed to the lecture

4:00pm

as my lectures finished, i came back to my room. daniel came an hour after me. i was sitting on my bed doing some work on a laptop while he was removing his shoes.

''so are you coming to the fair?'' suddenly daniel asked me while sliding his unusually dramatic black shoes under his bed. ''i don't think so. i don't even know many people from your group'' i told him. ''you know me. it can be us two. no one more if you are not comfortable'' he spoke and i gave him a sarcastic smile. ''really?'' i mockingly spoke and went back to my work. he sighed and sat on his bed. his arms crossed and his legs lazily laying down. his tight black shirt flashed his muscles as he crossed them and the denim jeans flexed his legs. ''you can be with me. i will make sure its fun'' he recited trying to sound assuring. i perked up at him.

''i will ask eliza to go with me.'' i told him and grabbed my phone. he just rolled his eyes and sighed out heavily. i dialed her number and just after a few seconds, she picked up my call.

maya: hey eliza. what are you doing?

eliza: nothing much. whats up?

maya: actually i wanted to know if you are free later today because theres this fair in the city-

eliza: actually i am not free maya. i am actually going shopping with samantha, sorry.

maya: oh its fine.

eliza: thanks.

maya: hmm bye.

i kept the phone down and looked at daniel.

''so?'' he asked me. ''she is busy'' i let out. ''come with me. it will be fun'' he made a requesting tone. ''at what time will we be back?'' i asked him. i still haven't made up my mind about whether i should go with him or not. ''1 am'' he spoke and straightened up on his bed. ''what? that's too late'' i spoke with furrowed eyebrows. ''well, i will make sure to to get you back here despite whatever time it. so what do you say?'' he persuaded and queried. ''ok i will tag along'' i told him and he gave me big smile.

i got up from my bed after completing my reading for the classes. i had to get ready because daniel was being irritatingly impatient. ''how long?'' he asked me the same question for the tenth time in the past thirty minutes. i packed my bag and kept it at the end of the bed. ''i am going to change give me a minute'' i said as i picked out my outfit from the closet.i wore a all black outfit. by 9:30 i was done getting ready.

''i am ready'' i said as i grabbed my wallet and stood straight. ''you took forever''daniel said as he got from his bed and came towards me. he suddenly came too close to me taking me by a little surprise. he slowly placed his hand on mine and pulled my wallet from my hand and threw it on the bed. ''you wouldn't require that'' he slowly spoke. i stepped back as the nervousness in me would be made me faint any second. ''why not? i need money.'' i manage to say out. ''well, what kind of man would i be if i wont pay for my lady?'' he spoke and i rolled my eyes scoffing. ''seriously daniel?'' i chuckled through my words.

''i am making it up for you. remember?'' he spoke with a small smile. i smiled back and nodded. i knew there was no point in arguing since he already made up his mind. he smiled and put ihs forward telling me to go ahead. ''after you'' he said and i stepped ahead giggling at him.
