we both got off the ride and walked a little away. none of us spoke anything or even looking at each other.
he was frequently sighing and taking deep breaths. ''can I use the restroom? I will be back in a minute'' Daniel spoke unexpectedly grabbing my attentions. ''sure'' i awkwardly nodded, he me a nervous smile and went away.
as soon as he went out of a dramatic groan left my chest. fuck! i should've pulled away. why did i kiss him? i am so dumb. it was all so good for just those moments when we were kissing but now it seems like a wave of regret has hit me hard and drowned me. i facepalmed myself. with my hands on my waist, i looked around. suddenly a girl standing near the cotton candy stall caught my attention. that girl seemed very familiar.
her appearance was familiar.
unknowingly with curiosity, I walked over to her. she had eh back facing me so her face wasn't very visible. i reached near her and found out she she was with a boy.
no ordinary boy but the boy whom i knew. jack Avery. i lightly tapped on the shoulder of the girl and she turned back. my eyes widened as i saw the girl. it was Eliza.
wasn't she busy? ''hey ma-Maya'' she spoke being surprised at my presence out of the thin air. ''hi. what are you doing here?'' i asked her to be a little taken away by the fact that he was here with jack. ''actually we are on a date'' jack spoke up and Eliza's expression changed into sorry ones immediately. what the hell? she told me something else and now i get to find out that she was actually busy with a date ''oh'' i sigh out with raised eyebrows and just when i was about to inquire any further, i felt two hands placed on my shoulder from behind. ''i was looking for you over there'' Daniel spoke as i turned back to look at him. ''he's your date?'' eliza sounded more surprised. ''no- no we just came by- by as friends'' i awkwardly stammered.
''lets leave. its late'' Daniel whispered and smiled at both of them. i nodded giving a final smile and started walking away with Daniel.
''why were you interrupting their date?'' Daniel chuckled a little bit as we both got near his car. ''you knew they were on a date? eliza told me she was going shopping'' i spoke as i stood in beside his car waiting for daniel to unlock the car. daniel smiled and removed his keys from the side of his pockets.
he pressed the button on his keys and little unlock sound was made. we both got into the car. ''i knew jack was on a date tonight but i never knew it was you bestfriend'' he spoke as he started to car. i took a deep breath. its fine everyone had their own privacy, i was that she made up a lie. while Daniel was driving, an awkward silence filled up the car.
the picture of the Ferris wheel started to flash across my mind make me feel very irritated at myself. ''about the Ferris wheel...'' Daniel slowly let out as if he was reading my mind. ''forget it. that was a mistake'' i spoke hastily turning my head to the window. ''i was going to say thank you for making me face my fear'' he spoke. a little bit vague and embarrassment filled me in. fuck maya!
he wasn't talking about the kiss. i facepalmed myself internally and didn't dare to reply to him. ''don't worry, it was nothing for me. i kiss many girls'' he murmured.
what the hell? what kind of answer was that? ''excuse me. you may kiss every girl you meet but i don't kiss all the guys i know'' i sounded off angry. ''no-no i dint mean it that way baby. my whole point to bring you here was to make up happy not angry'' he spoke. i sighed out, can he stop with this whole baby thing? ''ok lets agree on one thing. it was a mistake by both of us'' he let out, waiting for my reply. well, he wasn't wrong. i nodded and he smiled angelically. ''well, i have something for you'' Daniel spoke out slowly as he pulled a box from the compartment of the door. he placed the box on my lap without making eye contact.
''i knew we would argue so i came prepared'' with curiosity, i opened the box and found a keychain.
