''we are dating'' a surprised gasp left my mouth.

i felt my eyes widen. ''dating him? already?'' i asked her back. ''yes. i am dating him. its better than going to a carnival with a brat when your best friend rejects'' he taunted me and Adam chuckled.

''dont be like that. i really wanted to go'' i defended myself. ''so did he make you end up in his bed?'' eliza spoke out teasingly and i scoffed.

''i didn't sleep with him'' i scowled and Adam spoke, ''yet.'' ''you know what, i am going to class'' i felt irritated at them. ''she isn't lying Maya. he will make you end up in his bed'' Adam shouted from the back and i ignored him and just walked off to my next class. as i reached into the class i sat on the place where i and Adam usually settled. the door cracked open and daniel came in. he walked up to me and stood at the end of the bench. ''can i sit here?'' he spoke out to my surprise. he asked me as if he didn't know adam sat her everyday. ''its adam's seat but you can sit if you want to'' i told him and looked down back into the book trying to avoid contact with his captivating eyes.

''i don't care whose seat this is, the girl sitting next to it only matters'' he spoke making me a little stunned. was he flirting? he placed his things on the desk and sat down. both of us didn't look at each other or anything. adam came in and i thought he would be pissed off for daniel taking up his place knowingly but rather he seemed so joyful. the lecture began and we were 40 minutes into it. out of the blue daniel shifted towards me. he glide his stuff along. his arms brushed mine. he didn't move them away.

he was close enough that our bodies were touching sideways and i could smell his cologne. he slowly lowered his head. ''i have a house party today. would you like to join?'' he whispered in my ear. seriously he wants to talk about this and that too right here.

I nodded a no. ''I cant I don't party often'' I told him quietly. I wasn't sure if he heard me. ''but Eliza will be there too'' he replied back.

Eliza isn't serious right now is she? i cant believe her going to the party of the boy who she called a brat a while ago. i knew Daniel was using this to call me into the party. ''nope. i don't really wanna come'' i told him boldly but still quietly. the rest of the class passed in silence. he didn't converse anything nor did he move away from me. the class came to an end with the professor giving us tons of assignments. the class got up and daniel did too. before leaving the classroom he said ''i really want to see you at the party baby''

6 pm

the day got over and i was on my way back to the dorm. suddenly a voice shouted my name from behind. i turned back to find Eliza rushing to me with something in her hands. ''i need a favor Maya'' she spoke to me as she caught her breath from running.

''what is it?'' i asked her and she pulled my hand forward hanging me two keys. ''this is my house and car keys. i am going to Daniel's party so i fell like i might loose them so can you keep them?'' she told me and i looked her and nodded. after getting back to my dorm, i headed straight up to take a shower.

after all that business, i laid on my bed completely relaxed.

i scrolled through social media and stuff. after a lot of time wasting i drifted away to sleep.

11pm

i was in deep slumber when my phone suddenly started to ring. i raised myself off the bed with a lot of difficulties since i was still half-asleep. i picked up the phone from the nightstand and focused my eyes on the caller ID 'Eliza'

i felt a bit suprised. i piked up the phone yawning.

maya: whats up?

eliza: maya. *sniffs*

maya: whats the matter eliza? are you okay?

eliza: no i am not

maya: ok what happened? where are you right now?

eliza: at daniel's

maya: where is jack?

eliza: i dont know. please pick me up. everyone is drunk i just want to go home. please maya *sniffs*

after this sentence, sobbing started to leave her chest. i felt so sorry for her. i knew she shouldve stayed back. she wanted me to help and i want to help her too but how was i supposed to. i cant even get out of the dorm this late. i looked at eliza's car keys for some seconds.

maya: i will be there. stay safe.
