''we have a problem'' i told daniel.  ''baby calm down'' ''my dad is at the campus i am doing to be dead if he finds out i spent the weekend over here''

''change quickly i will take you back'' daniel tried to cool me down. i abruptly changed into the clothes i wore the day i came here. i run towards daniel's car in which he is already ready. 

i sit in hastily and slam the door shut. as soon as i reached the campus, i warned daniel to not get out of the car unless i call. i rushed into the the free space. i saw dad standing near one of the trees. he was in his detective uniform. he hadn't noticed me yet. just as i was about to walk closely off to him, i felt a hand on my forearm pulling me a little back. ''maya'' angela got me shocked. ''angela what are you doing?'' i asked her as i politely freed my arm from her grip. her sharp nails caused a scratch against my skin. ''the detective, cop looking man is your dad right?'' she asked me and i nodded a yes. ''well does he know about you and daniel?'' she asked me.

''no he doesn't. and i am not planning on telling him that any sooner'' i replied to her. ''you were at daniel's house the whole weekend, what are you going to tell him?'' she asked me again. ''how did you know?'' she rolled her eyes as if there was the most obvious answer already. ''the whole campus knows. now let's worry about your dad ok?'' she replied.  

''tell him that we both were together. you stayed at my place. i drove here. simple'' she advised me and i fell into silence. it wasn't a very bad idea. considering i had not a single other option. ''you have me don't worry'' angela confidently grabbed my hand and started to pull me towards dad. we reached in front of angela and he stared at both of us. ''hi maya and..'' he spoke out being confused. ''its angela. her friend'' angela shook hands with dad. ''oh nice to meet you. by the way, where were you maya? you didn't tell me you were going out'' dad's gaze shifted onto me and i gathered up the words ready to lie. ''i was with angela'' i said. ''we had a project together'' angela added to my sentence and dad nodded as if he understood the whole scenario. 

''let's grab some lunch'' dad suggested to us. ''yes i am hungry'' angela replied and we started to walk. this is going to be tiring. 

7:00 pm

i waved dad the final goodbye and watched him drive away into a distance. i sigh out with relied. this was so hectic.

 i have never lied to him. if he saw me with daniel it would've turned out so bad. wait! daniel! i immediately pick out my phone to dial him. i take the phone to my ear and hear his voice from the other side.

daniel- oh baby. how did it go?

maya- yeah yeah everything is fine. angela came in like and actual angel and covered up

daniel- angela?

maya- yes. where are you?

daniel- back at the dorm

maya- i am coming back wait.

daniel- sure love you

maya- love you too

i smilingly kept my phone back in. thank god it didn't turn out to be a mess.
